Flock of Geese ... Progress

Yesterday I posted about the Flock of Geese pattern... but what I didn't tell you is that on Saturday - when it got really really really really hot, and I was told I could come in from all the chores....

I sat under the fan and cut a BUNCH of strips.... and then cut them into the parts.....

And now... I even have a few blocks complete....

This year the Grass has dried up so fast, but we are starting to get secondary rains - so we are mowing like crazy to see if we can get some moisture in to the ground... so mowing.... is taking a LOT of time!

But our knuckleheads are worth it!!

I really like that pattern! Looking forward to seeing your other blocks. Hope your temps cool off and you get good rains.

Cutting fabric is my nemesis in the process, so having so much cut out sounds perfect and like you'll have a lot of fun sewing. Looks good to mE\e!

I like the little check in your flock! The blocks look good and glad you were able to take a break from the hot, summer-time chores!

I know about the mowing... love hate relationship. We have a mighty crop of weeds growing and the grass is languishing, still our poodle tries to eat it as if he's a horse.

Sorry it's been so hot and dry. Hopefully the mowing and the rain are making a difference. Stay cool!
