More Quilts of Valor

Have you chosen all your fabrics yet?

https://alyciaquilts.blogspot.com/2019/08/mystery-a9-lone-rider-fabric.html

The First clue will come out NEXT wednesday - so enjoy your Labor Day Weekend and get ready to sew!! Fun!!!

in the meantime here are some fun Quilts of Valor to inspire you...

Aren't these so cool?

I do not have a pattern to share - or even know where the pattern is from - but I think it would go together quickly.

Remember the Patriot?
One of our Mysteries from 2018
Looks pretty cool right?

My friend Marty made this amazing quilt - and this Veteran - he LOVES it - he said we couldn't have made any more perfect of a quilt for him!!

Here is the Whole group- I love that they stayed wrapped up even when it was like 98deg outside!

And the last group we were with - for some reason they wanted me to pose with them ....

Hope you are inspired ... and ready to start the next Mystery!!!

I am looking forward to doing the mystery quilt with you! I love your mystery quilts since they are not too complicated! This will be my third and it will also be a QOV! Great pictures of your QOV presentations!

I think that is really cool they wanted you to be in the pic with them! Just shows their appreciation even more.

I wish we had a group as active as yours down here! It's always so cool to see the groups together getting their quilts. Every time I see a purple heart license plate on a car, I wonder if they've received a QOV. Every one of them should have a QOV.

The first three quilts were made using a pattern called Stars N Stripes by Villa Rosa Designs.

I especially LOVE the quilt made by Marty (green with the squares going across.) They are all beautiful and for a great cause!

Those star quilts look great! Always fun to see the veterans posing with their quilts.

In regards to your huge star quilt. That pattern has circulated with different borders since the early 1990's. 10" HST for the star, with 10" squares in 4 corners. Make 10" side borders to get 60" width. Add a 10" strip of background to star and then border and you have a QOV 60x80 quilt. All deminsions require seam allowance. Easy peasy. 👍
