More Quilts of Valor

One of my QOV groups had a real fun Panel Challenge. The challenge was to take the Panel and come up with something.... and the panel had motorcycles on it!!

So I wanted it!  I work with 3 Combat Vet Motorcycle groups - so I know it will be loved....

And this is what I made with it:

I really like that panel -
and surprisingly I am not sure that I have ever made a panel quilt
I am sort of hooked now
( I even bought a real cool eagle one to work with)

And then I just quilted this one
Ethel made it - It's really cool too!

Check out this fun one
My Buddy - a Veteran who received his quilt from us a while ago
presented it for us .

but that;s one that was all of our group blocks and
I finished it ;-)

School is out for all my kids now
so wish me luck in finding my personal Quilting time - ok?

I like panels because they go together a lot faster.

Panels are so fun to work with and come up with ideas for borders and such. I like to off set the panel sometimes and only do a top and side border. You did a great job!!

Hi Alycia,
Such nice quilts, and I love seeing the people that quilts end up with. I'll bet your quilt will be a very popular one - love the eagle with the Harley. ~smile~

Nice job on your valor quilt. I recently bought a panel with a chickadee and any looking for ideas.

Goodness, I can almost hear the rumble of that motorcycle. And it took a moment or two to find Ethel's hearts. I like it as well.

Out of school, already? I'll bet Wrangler Man has plans for those extra hands at home. Maybe this is the summer to work on their culinary skills as well?

Good job.
