Free Pattern here : Jelly Roll Plus
At our last sew day we all made these Churn Dash Blocks!! All made out of 5 inc squares. I was the one to prep all the squares for each block kit. My goal was to use up my 5 inch square bin, and guess what?
It did not... but!! All i really had to cut for these blocks - was the white!
Go figure!!
Fast and easy!!!
We also got to present a Quilt to an amazing Veteran!! He is so super sweet, and!! He was a little shocked. He was expecting a quilt - he just wasn't expecting a QUILT!!! He was overwhelmed, and amazed at how beautiful it was... made my heart happy!!

Just cuz I wanted to prove I do get up early - haha - this was our sunrise the other day - Holee Cow!! What a beauty - so glad I Was up to see it ( and outside) God is a master painter!
And my girls - they wanted to know why they couldn't control the remote! I had a little day of being under the weather, so they were my companions, and they think they would have liked to taste tea!!!
Goof balls!!!

I remember doing this pattern for a QOV when we stayed at a campground in FL for the season. Your quilt turned out beautifully! And that sunrise! WOW! He is indeed THE master painter. Love your dogs. I have a cat that insists on sitting in front of me while I'm on the computer or while cross stitching. They're such helpers, aren't they? Have a blessed day.
What a lovely quilt for that wonderful veteran! Your girls are so, so cute - I'm sure they made you feel better. :)
Great finish, wonderful churn dash pattern. . .and that sunrise. . .holy COW is right! God is the master painter. . .the colors are amazing!
I think I have to work in reverse order today: your girls are sweet goof balls to want to help you feel better! The sunrise is absolutely glorious (wow)! I can tell by the smile and look in the veteran's eyes that he is delighted with the quilt, what a lovely moment to capture, and hooray for using up scraps (but sorry it wasn't all of them) and for the delightful quilt finish. You've been busy!
What a lovely quilt!!! The churn dashes are so pretty! I think our animals need a down day just as much as we do!
I'm sure your girls kept a close eye on you while you weren't feeling well. The jelly roll quilt is beautiful but those little churn dash blocks make me want to run right down and make some. LOL I do love churn dash blocks in any size. If you ever need extra blocks for any of your QOV you know you can ask. Isn't it wonderful to see how overwhelmed the veterans tend to be when they actually received their quilts?
That veteran looks so happy! What a joy to make and give quilts to honor their service. Your little doggies look so cute, waiting for some tea! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

You and your group make the prettiest QOVs, Alycia! So sorry you were not feeling well, but glad you had those sweet girls there to help you get better!
Aw, they are trying to take care of you! So sweet nursemaids. Your landscape photo is gorgeous!!!! Hope you are feeling better.
You've been busy! Sorry for being under the weather, that seems to be common this time of year, glad you recovered quickly. Very pretty sunrise. I'm not sure why, but it does seem the colder the day, the nicer the sunrise.
Amazing sunrise. Merry Christmas.
