Whoo Hoooooooooo
I Finally finished last years Bonnie Hunter Mystery - Indigo Way.
Well - I finished piecing it - of course there is more to do - but! I will celebrate the steps!!!
Remember a while ago I asked about the sizing of King Sized quilts - this one was why! I wanted to make it King Sized for my New King sized mattress - and now - I don't want to make another one this big. It got out of control haha!
I made it 100 x 100 - so we will see how that works!
Ta da!!!! I am pretty tickled!! Some of you asked about my fake grass - We put in artificial turf a few years ago (march of 2022) - so every quilt photo you have seen with green ---- is fake!!
I can't grow grass like this out here - it was to sandy and dry . I can get Prairie grass, but the cows and horses eat it and its clumpy - It doesn't make for pretty pictures haha.
Now my top is done I need to figure out a back and probably a panto to quilt on it.
This is a better photo of the grass I grow haha!! Check out my puppy - she is herding cats!!!! and she does such a great job haha!

Your quilt is beautiful! I made a king size double wedding ring quilt for my sister years ago. Never again will I make a double wedding ring quilt or a king size quilt!
Indigo Way looks fantastic - and big! "Herding cats" - lol!
Fabulous king top and piecing a Bonnie Hunter mystery is an accomplishment.
Your version of Indigo Way turned out beautifully - and really really big! LOL It will look amazing on your bed. Herding cats - reminded me of the border collie we had when we were farming (1970s-80s). She would also herd the cats around, trying to keep them in a group. The cats were not pleased.
Your quilt is gorgeous, and yes indeed we need to celebrate each step of the progress!
Well done! I say celebrate every baby step. ;) Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party.
This is a lovely quilt! Congrats on finishing it! I still haven't finished any of her mystery quilts but that doesn't keep me from starting new ones every few years. I have held of successfully on this year's so far, though I am saving the clues.
the quilt turned out beautifully! Every step is definitely a good one finished!
What a great border you chose to frame your Indigo Way!!! Your top is lovely against the green backdrop too!
Congratulations! That's a lot of piecing and a large quilt. I hope that quilting it is fun and you are sleeping under it soon.
Congratulations! Well done.
Celebrating each step is a must and I congratulate you on finishing this HUGE top. It is so lovely. Love the pieced border on opposite corners. Well done! ;^)
It's funny that you showed that particular quilt today. At quilt club tonight a woman brought 2 veterans quilts that she made with her blocks from this same BH pattern.
Beautiful version of Indigo Way! I like how you did the borders.
Love Indigo Way, Alycia!! That's one fantastic puppy if she can herd cats! LOL Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings!
Wow, super job on Indigo Way!! King-size no less!!! I can't wait to see how you quilt it now...
