A QOV post

This is another of the Jelly Roll Race quilts that was made at our QOV Sew day! It was made by Harriet C. She is the brave one who tried to teach it all to us too! It is quilted and now awaiting binding.

This last month 12 Quilts of Valor were presented and this recipient sent us a picture of him at home. He said that he loved getting his quilt, and he is Absolutely Positively that his was the BEST quilt! Ever!

A little history - this man served his country well!
He served in WWII , the Korean war, and 2 tours in Vietnam.
Can you imagine?

I also received a thank you letter from a Veteran who had received his quilt after participating in a PTSD treatment program. He says:

"Thanks!! For your beautiful gift that I was presented with. .... There are so many who suffer from this anxiety disorder that, has in thousands of cases, wrecked the lives of Veterans and their families. ...

Please convey my heartfelt thanks to all who have participated in making these Quilts of Valor, and especially let them know that this is truly a gift that warms the heart and soul of so many wounded warriors. "

Thanks for this post and the motivation to get busy and make another QOV to honor those who have served so selflessly.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Alycia! I love the smile on that fellow's face. What a treasure.

I agree, the Jelly Roll Race quilt is great looking. Makes me want to but I just can't right now!
