From Linda in NE

Linda in Nebraska sent in these two Quilts of Valor.... and I am in love!!!

I opened this one, and I think my heart stopped. I LOVE bright colors... and the little black and white pinwheels - oh heavens.... so I took a ton of pictures so it can go on my quilt bucket list!!!

Linda also sent in a string quilt. You all know I am partial to string quilts! And the blue centers - they tie it together so nicely.

Linda thank you so much for these!

looking good,
I got my first email from a top maker! I'm on my way for 12 in 2012 (I cheated and pulled 7 from stash that need just borders so I can make sure I get 12 to quilt)

That yellow one is made from squares cut from fabrics I hand-dyed.I had so many FQs that were partially used or had a sample cut out of the corner so they got cut up into squares. The b/w pinwheels where cut-off corners from a quilt I made using even more of the squares. So the whole thing was a left-over scrappy sort of project. :)

I made the blocks for the string quilt on the day of the Nebraska Sew-in last year. I didn't go, thereby saving the six hours on the road round-trip so I used the time to sew instead. Completed 40 of the 48 blocks that day. Whew!!
