Purple RSC Blocks

As we are almost to the end of the month - I am just really getting started on my purples!!

That timing thing is really throwing me off this month haha!!

Here are the purples blocks that I have finished:

These are really fun to make. I had scraps, and then I picked some up at a guild meeting. So much fun to combine the purples and patterns  and... you know!! the plaids!!!

I got one purples had done - its sort of a dusty purple - but! it finished the yard ball!!

I finished the two green ones from last month ;-)

so my hat pile is growing. We need them by October to fill the Operation Christmas Child boxes.
At least I am not behind on that deadline ( yet)

ms Crazy Bella - she was helping to pick out which purple scrap to use next ;-) she is such a helper 😇😇

And us!!
we were heading out to a shoot ( mounted shooting competition off our horses) early in the morning. I thought we better get a good before photo - as the afters...

We are tired, and dirty, and the hair.... well the hair is not so pretty after a 100deg day and the humidity we have been having haha

When you say "shoot", is it target practice, a photo shoot, or hunting?

What fun purple blocks! I'm too "rigid" to enjoy making those improv type of blocks, but I love seeing what other people make.

Love those purple blocks. The knitted hats are a great item for the Christmas boxes. I hope you had a good competition. My brother in law and sister used to do that. They no longer have their horses.

Interesting blocks for RSC. How many hats are you hoping to make for the shoeboxes? Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.

What a busy life you lead! We can all use a good canine helper in the sewing room. Your knitted hats will be treasured.

Those purple blocks are so wild and crazy!!! In a great way!!! It's still July, so no worries! Not to mention we have 31 days in July...

Your purple blocks are really fun. I'm not sure where July went, it certainly went fast!

Love the whimsical log cabin blocks, but not as much as the cute pic of you and the hubby :-)

Good job on your hats. I've moved from the frame knitting to actually knitting hats. I have a new bunch of yarn that is free from the organization that distributes the hats. Your purple blocks are cool. Hope you had fun at the competition. I'd like to know a bit more about it too. Shooting off your horses... walking, right? (HA! I know better but ...)

Sweet hats & fun purple blocks. How'd the shooting go? Sounded like a fun way to spend the day.
