Friday came WAY to fast this week!! I made lists, I had plans... I did not finish... I did not even get to the "or not" phase... ah well!!
I did get these blocks done for my Quilt Guild Bee...
Aren't they cute? I also made some wonky stars with the cut offs of the houses - so super cute!!
I got a lot of quilting done.... this was my Friend Deb's quilt -
and the garden. If you know.... I am not usually allowed in the garden - that is all K's territory. I have a tendency to kill plants. Two years ago I was given the task of watering the trees - K has about 20 planted. And I succeeded !
So I was allowed to plant strawberries this year in a raised garden bed. ( far away from his main garden) and look!!!
A strawberry!! i have had 2 so far - at this rate - Strawberry Shortcake is not happening soon!
And storms - Holee Buckets - have we had storms come in. I love the colors and the contrast. We have had a lot of rain - We are dryland pasture people - so that we LOVE!!
Did you all see this quilt from FONF last week:
Scrapbox Quilt Help Challenge Quilt - man if you didn't... you should go now - the quilting... wowo!!

The houses will make cute quilts. Hooray for gardens! Hope some day you make strawberry shortcake!
What kind of trees did K plant? Your produce looks great! I envy those storms - where you live you can see them coming for miles.
My cucumbers are coming along, and I saw my cherry tomatoes are starting to ripen. There might even be a baby zucchini on!
Oh, those houses are adorable! And the garden looks productive, too. We have mostly been sending the storms your way this week, except we had a crazy one in the middle of the night Wednesday into Thursday - it woke me up! Definitely nice to get some rain! Happy Friday!
Sweet little houses! I managed to stay disciplined this week and checked off 3 projects tasks that were on my list. Yay! My reward will be - crazy days shopping today maybe. LOL
I like the houses you've got going! Too funny about your exclusion from the garden! Nice produce!
I had a similar week :) Love the little houses. Congratulations on TWO strawberries, they will get there. Those are some nice veges coming from the big garden.
Such colorful and darling house blocks. Looks like you have had a busy week. Woo Hoo on the garden beginning to produce! Mmmm that strawberry looks so delicious . Enjoy.
Cute houses! Yay for the gardening.
We have gotten a ton of rain too. Makes it hard to get out that boat! LOL. But then makes it easy to stay in and sew.
I'm a serial plant killer too. I've killed two at work already. Sigh! But kudos to you. You have a strawberry!! Whoop Whoop! I love your little houses, especially the last one, bottom right. Oh I love that print! Enjoy! ;^)
Just adore those beach houses of yours, the quilting and how wonderful to be getting fresh produce too. A great post, Alycia!
I had to giggle a little: my husband is chief gardener around here too, though I do do a fair bit too, and don't tend to kill plants. In fact he did this year with a new one we got, Angelica, by overwatering, yikes. There's a bit of hope for her but not looking good. We NEED rain... Those house blocks are darling.
Very cute houses! I love making house blocks. Isn't it fun harvesting from the garden? Your skies are so amazing. Big sky country for real.
Hi Alycia, those little house blocks are very cute! I take care of the back yard (mowing the weeds between the so-called flower beds and trees). I've done almost nothing this year in there except to mow. Some plants are taking over, but as long as I don't have to care for them and they don't wonder where I need to mow, it's all good :-) Congrats on your strawberry! I have a few raspberries, just because our neighbour's plants made their way under our fence. Yeah for a handful of raspberries each summer!
