Our Last QOV presentation of 2025

 Was a super different one!!

I got a call from a Veterans Group who wanted to have a Quilt of Valor awarded to a particular gentleman. I said of course, and we got to planning. and then!!!

I got a call that this would be in front of a crowd, in front of the county commissioners, and maybe a few local important folks.

And I said - Okay! sounds good.

I think they thought I would be nervous... little do they know haha!

When I got there - they had a speech all planned, with parts that each of us were supposed to read. I agreed, and then said - but I need 3 -5 minutes for my presentation part . ( No on told me this was a group event)

They said sure and then pencilled me in a a spot. We all did our parts, and then when we got to my *Presentation* part - he started to skip over me.....

I think it was because he was very nervous - these were people he needed to impress. Not me, I just needed to show the Love to the Vet....

So - me , being me, Just headed to the lectern and took over!! It was sort of funny. My husband was just smiling in the back.

I did my presentation that I LOVE to do, and gave the Vet a hug, and..... made him cry!!!

Oh ya - my job was complete!!

It was a great day , and a great honor to be able to recognize him, not only for his Military service, but for his continued service to Veterans when he got out of the military.

Have a Very Merry Christmas - and see you on Friday - for Finished ( or not) Friday!!

What a beautiful post! Your confidence comes from knowing you are part of a great organization of people who care for our Vets and you are giving a tangible proof of that love!!!!

Love the Santa hat with his QOV. I hate it when you have to add yourself back to the agenda. Bet they were glad you did.
