Finished ( or not) Friday!!! and Donuts!

Whoot Whoot !! Another Friday has come around and it was a great, busy week!!!

All the Quilts for Christmas are now quilted and returned to their makers!!! Yay!!

(PS - I am opening my 2026 books up, and taking Mail in Quilts... just message me if your interested)

I made a batch of the Fried Cakes - and guess what? We will have to make another batch - for some reason these disappeared!! I am not sure how that happened haha!!

And now - I am going to try to make fudge. I am not a huge fan of fudge, so never really learned when my Mom made it. But my husband is - so wish me luck!!

What all have you been up to this week??

Share away!!!
Well  - Before we get to that.... I watched the Grinch, and laughed so hard when I pictured the Pound Puppy as Max!!! Doesn't she fit the bill??

I am forever calling her Max!!!

Okay - Now for real - LINK Up!!!!

Fudge is one of those Christmas recipes that are required ;-) I cheat though and use the Fantasy Fudge recipe for chocolate and pb fudge. This year it's just the pb though. I use Reese's chips plus a TBSP of peanut butter instead of the chocolate. Good luck - I've never made it from scratch so you'll have to let us know how it went. Blessings!

Seeing your homemade donuts reminds me of my mum making them...once! They were so good. Pound puppy is a perfect Max :-)

Those donuts look yummy. I love fudge in almost all its forms, and I've avoided making a pan because we would be in a sugar coma for days.

Today is my last working day for the year. I'm only a little excited to have "free" days! I'm adding a sleeve to a project so I can have one more finish for the year!

Fudge is the epitome of science in baking, use your candy thermometer and follow the recipe exactly, and it should work out.

Oh my goodness, those donuts look yummy! They wouldn't last long at our house either. Cute puppy, too! So glad to hear you've finished all the Christmas quilting jobs. Enjoy!

Hi Alycia. The most important tip I can give you is make sure to use a pan with a heavy bottom and make sure it is at least 2 times larger than you think you need. This will keep you from scorching the surgar nor having a boil over. Good luck!

The case of the missing doughnuts, hmmmmmm, ‘‘tis a real Christmastime mystery. Sorry you were under the weather for a bit but isn’t wonderful to have doggies to care for you, lol?

Fudge is one of those things I love, but rarely make. I have Chex Mix in the oven right now. I'll have to hide it in order to have any left for our family Christmas on the 29th.

I loved making the donuts for our girls out of biscuits. Since I'm GF I haven't found a biscuit recipe that makes a good one. :( But I have figured out GF Dumplings. ;) I love Max and your pup is a dead ringer! Thanks for the chance to join the party. Blessings!

No surprise that those fried cakes are all gone! They do look delicious. Have fun playing with making fudge. I know your husband would love them. Happy Holidays!

Those donuts look yummy. Maybe you do have your own Max. I tried to find the Grinch to watch, but it wasn't on any of my streaming services, I had to settle for Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Merry Christmas! I haven't made fudge for a few years, but I used to make it in the microwave! Not really traditional lol. The donuts look great, no wonder they disappeared.

Enjoy your Christmas and thanks for hosting this fun party. It is hard to keep up with the eaters when you are making delicious things for them. Good luck with the fudge...its been years since I made any, so no hints from me. Merry Christmas.
