Happy Friday!!!
I have finished my 350 pringles for the swap!!! and I am 2/3 of the way finished with the other 150 we make to keep for ourselves. So! They are all in a bucket until the swap is swapped.
I thought they were due Memorial Day - they are not, it is Labor day - so! I am ahead of the game. So proud of that!!
<<All the pretties.... Pringles - *Once you Pop, you can't stop* haha!!But then!!! I had a pile of scraps out so I just kept cutting the scraps up - so now I have this whole cookie tray of pieces - and so!!
We will see how many I can get out of this pile. What happens if I just keep cutting scraps - How big do you think the piles would get????
Also- We made Cabbage Pizza - You slice the head of cabbage into 1 inch thick rounds, and bake it for 15 minutes alone, then you put Pizza topping on and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
It was surprisingly good - and we will have it again.
Also : progress - I got taken out of the boot and now have an air cast. Jury is out on if it is easier or not, cuz I just got it. and I have to be in it for 6-8 weeks... Check up in 5 weeks....
At least I am level now haha. And maybe I can find a shoe to wear. He told me to stick with my 4wheeler Dog walking for a while - just to keep it *rested*
He ( the doctor) also told me no horse riding for at least 3 weeks. I think I might have cried over that.
Your turn!!! What did you Finish ( or not) this week?

I love Pringles but I think you're referring to the quilt block! LOL! So is this really related to the potato chip block? And how is it put together? I've got so many scraps that they're leaking out of their containers ;-)
Oh that pizza does sound good. DH won't eat cabbage, but I love it cooked or raw, plus pizza toppings can make anything taste good, eh? I will be watching your creations with potato chips. I am digging around trying to pic something I want to make with mine soon.
Sorry about having to still be in a boot, even though it is "air". That cramps your style! The cabbage pizza sounds good. I love cooked cabbage but Hubs hates the smell - lol!
You are amazing with your Pringle blocks - definitely ahead of the game! I like the design your potato chip blocks are making, too. So glad to hear you're out of that boot - hope the healing speeds along!
The potato chip block cutting looks like a ton of fun in itself! lol Great block result! Glad you've gotten a boot upgrade!
What a huge pile of Pringles!! Sounds like a very fun swap idea. I have a bin of potato chips cut, and a few blocks made. I'm thinking it's probably time to work on those again soon.
No horse riding for three weeks? UGH! The time will pass quickly. I hope you are adjusting well to the air cast. I shudder to think the mounds that would be created in my sewing space cutting up scraps! The cabbage pizza sounds wild! (I might have to try it!)
Oh wow, you are way ahead of the game with your swap blocks, way to go! I'm glad your healing is progressing, but I am sorry you are going to have to take so long off of horse riding.
your cabbage pizza sounds good but no way would my husband even take a bite of it to try it out.
What a great way to use up scraps, and hard to stop once you get started! Have a great week.
That pizza sounds very intriguing. I hope the air cast is working out for you, Alycia.
The Pringles look like a fun swap project. I'm looking forward to seeing how that progresses. And CABBAGE pizza?!! Now I've heard of everything! :-)
Neat way to arrange the potato chips! Glad you're healing, keep it up lol.
Oooh I like the layout of your chip blocks. You reminded me that I need to get back to my chip quilt. Happy piecing .
I'm glad (??) you got the new boot and are at least on level ground! LOL I'm sure it's hard for you but you have managed the dog walking well. The horse will be waiting for you when you heal, so don't ride too quickly! That cabbage pizza sounds great! I may have to give that a try - though the hubs would NOT eat it. He's a meat eater and says vegetables are what food eats! LOL I've heard of potato chip blocks, but never pringles blocks! They look pretty simple to make though and sounds like a great way to use your scraps. Have a great week.
It's always nice to discover you are ahead and not behind on a project. So glad to hear that you've been able to move on from the boot. Another 6 to 8 weeks seems like forever though when you can't do the stuff you like to do. Hang in there.
Hi Alycia, I'm so sorry to hear about your broken foot. I'm glad that you're still able to "walk" the dogs with your 4 wheeler. Take care of yourself - you need your foot to heal well and last you years and years!
