A Cold, Snowy and Windy QOV presentation

Sunday!! the day for our QOV presentation - turned out to be very yucky!!

A lot of quilters wanted to cancel, but! I don't always have ways to reach the Veterans that are coming , on short notice - so 9 of us showed up to quilt. And then!!

4 of our Veterans made it out. It wasn't quite warm ( 7) and the snow had started coming down , and!! the wind... ugh - that dratted wind . But all that make Wrapping up in a quilt - much nicer!!

We had Marine and Army Veterans - and we had quite a crowd. I baked ( cookies from the cookie store)
and we had a great time.

Driving back home - not so much - I was the only one going east, so I don't know which direction was worse - but I went 35 in a 65 haha!!

My Daisy girl - when I told her it was time to go outside for a potty break. Maybe this is how dogs potty train themselves???

Those are some very fun QOVs given to and by those brave enough to endure the elements this weekend. Glad you got home safely. Feel a bit sorry for the puppies, it's not fun to take care of business in that weather. Stay warm!

Glad you and anyone involved could travel safely to and from the event.

I especially like the one on the far right. Is that a Potato chip block? Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.

I hope everyone made it home safely, and I'm glad those 4 vets have cozy quilts to curl up under now!

Beautiful quilts to wrap these deserving veterans in on this cold day.

Wonderful to be there for the presentation even if it was an adventure!!! My cat is a whimp--it goes below 30* here and she can't bear it! lol (Either can we!)
