I am prepping for a finish this week! You have to do that right?
This last weekend we had a 2 day shooting competition and it was a blast!! ( literally too) But! we leave before sunrise in the morning and get back rather late each night, still have to do chores, prep for the next day - and by Sunday night - I just don't think about quilting . But Come Monday... haha!!
So this week - I got to Prep for a future finish:
I also Got Block 2 of the Alison Glass QAL done:
This is kind of fun to dig in the pile of scraps and see if I have what will work for the colors. Not sure I nailed it - but I love it... so we will take it haha
I had a craving for Chocolate , and we had vanilla ice cream, so I learned how to make Hot Fudge (ish) from scratch. My Husband decided he would marry me all over again ....
And... I made an unplanned trip to Scottsbluff NE.... about 3 hours from me, and about 4 hours from my sons Current project. That was about as * meet in the Middle* as we could get.
He had to move into an area where they didn't want dogs - so!!! I got my third Baby back!!! She's such a good little traveler - she curled up on the seat next to me, and snored the drive back home away.
Alright Peeps!! What did you Finish (or not) This week? Share away - tell others to join in!! and Visit away!!

What a great way to do a hand off! Taking a snooze is a great way to travel because when you arrive you are rested and ready to play! I look forward to reading about your finish. You prepped me well for anticipation!
Whichever finish that is up top looks so pretty! How nice you can granddog sit and they all get along so well. :)
What a fabulous picture of your pups all sitting together. Whew, I’m tired just thinking of your long weekend…..but I love the quilting you’re doing on your planned finish.
You nailed it with that block. Great color choice. Yum chocolate cake! Glad the dogs are together again; cute picture.
Hope you enjoyed visiting with your son - it's hard when our kids live so far away.
That purple block would make my grand daughter go "Squeeee!" - lol. It's gorgeous and the colors are just right!
That top quilt looks amazing and right up my alley since it looks a bit scrappy.
Have a blessed weekend.
The meet in the middle is hard when they live so far away. Sorry he had to give up his puppy for a bit, that's hard.
That almost finished quilt looks like a beauty, and so does your Alison Glass block! And those pups look pretty darn sweet, too. Happy Friday, Alycia!
Hey, you were close-ish to my neck of the woods! Gotta love recipes that make them want to marry you again!😁
Even meeting in the middle, that's a lot of driving for you both. But so worth it to have a happy place for the fur baby to stay while your son works.
You have had a very busy week. I look forward to seeing your new finish when it is completed and your block is so pretty. Your fur babies are just the sweetest. Have a lovely weekend.
Aww, the dogs look happy to be reunited again, and I'm so glad your son's dog is obviously that comfortable with you. Sounds like you had a busy but really fulfilling week. Have fun getting that quilt finished - it's looking great so far!
