I was going to bind it in a blue but when I held Gray up to it - it said it wanted grey. I went with that. and then when I took it out to take photos and it was grey and cloudy and misty ( yay!!) Gray was the right choice!
I am quite happy with how it turned out, I still have the 9 patch Square dance, elate and!! Some small scraps to work with. The scraps are on my ironing board so I don't forget them.... but, I am already dreaming of new projects!

It turned out so pretty - and the grey looks perfect!
Very pretty!! No one would ever know these are the scraps from another quilt. Bet it's just as pretty as the original.
As long as we are finishing items it doesn't matter the which one is first, LOL.
I love it when a project consumes you so much that it leapfrogs ahead and gets finished first. Thanks so much for linking up with Favorite Quilt Finish - it's beautiful!
The gray was the best choice! What a wonderful finish! Sometimes, projects are finished faster than others. . it really doesn't matter "when" it matters that a finish happens!
👍
I am quilting a top now that has TWO quilts made from the scraps. Both of the scrap versions are done and I'm just now getting around to the original quilt.
What a stunning outcome for this quilt--you did a great job!
This is so pretty, Alycia - love the colors you put together! I agree - the gray is definitely perfect for the binding. Hooray for a finish!
This is so pretty and restful! Scraps so often just tell you what needs to be done with them. They were right!
I love the colors and the design, Alycia!!! And you did some feather quilting on it?
Wonderful finish!
Fabulous finish. I love the soft colors. I look forward to trying the pattern.
