Fall Fortnight and Leaders and Ender Star Blocks

Earlier this year I decided to make these star blocks for my Leader/Enders as I stitched...

Now is the time to see how far I am - and how many blocks I need to make, and what colors I should concentrate on -you know.. all the things.

Imagine my surprise when I laid them out - and this is where I was:

Imagine my surprise when!! I had enough!! I actually have one extra block but its white with a Blue star - what was I thinking when I did that one?

Now comes the part of adding the sashing stars:

So now those in betweens are the leader/Enders but!! I may not take it off the design wall so I can keep track... maybe....

Now!! Have you heard that it is FALL FORTNIGHT???   Carole over at My Carolina Home is hosting a blog hop called FALL FORTNIGHT - and!! I am on the schedule for Wednesday - but go check it out every day... She has some AMAZING things lined up!!

What a great group of blocks and what an awesome plan to sash the blocks with more stars. This is going to be an amazing quilt!

Oh, I see where your sashing is going (more nested sawtooth stars) and think it's smart to keep this up on your design wall. I bet you have a quilt finish before you know it! Looking forward to Wednesday. :)

Your Star blocks are going to make a fun quilt, especially with the way you are doing the sashing.

Those star blocks are fabulous, Alycia! Love the layout you're working on, and how that sashing is going on, too. See you at the blog hop on Wednesday!

Your Starbucks look amazing! It looks like a beautiful patriotic quilt. I’m glad your manicure is holding up! I love it when that happens.

Don't you just love leaders & enders -- it's always a surprise how much you can get done while sewing other projects. Oooh, as usual you come up with the best QOV designs! I'm adding this one to my list now that I'm part of a guild with an active ministry. This is a great one to use up scraps from other completed quilts too!
