Our Quilts of Valor group was invited to go to Chevron Colorado !!
Chevron has a really cool Veterans Network - and the leads on that team thought it would be cool to introduce QOV to Chevron , and better yet !! 
Put the employees to work!! Brian ,Kayla and Dana set us up in the conference room . We made a sewing station with 6 amazing QOV quilters , ( and a 1939 feather weight machine that was the star of the show) a cutting station - which the director of safety from Chevron monitored , and a couple of ironing stations .
And then !!! They got to work ! We stitched for a little over an hour and!! Got enough blocks for a quilt top finished and a lot more in process for our group to finish ! (61 employees showed up !! Amazing !!)
The best part of the event ?
We got to award 4 Quilts of Valor to four of the Veterans that Chevron employs .
It was really a fun time for us to talk about what we do , and listen to what they do . We loved showing them how to stitch and may even have gained a new quilter to our group .

Well, that's a pretty awesome opportunity. That's amazing that a quilt top and more came out of the day!

What a cool way to get a few more blocks made for QOV. It's always fun to work with people who want to learn.
