Randoms...

We are in a pretty severe drought right now, so we aren't letting too many animals out into the pastures - we rotate pastures a LOT so that there is a chance for growth of the grass. Can you see the little bit of green there is?

It is good for the horses to get out and get some roaming in tho!

My goofball - she gets herself into some predicaments!!

Just like when you have young kids - you try really hard to make sure they are worn out at the end of the day... Same with the puppies.

My Poor son got on a site where they don't allow dogs, so Pound Puppy 9 far right) is staying with us for the while he's on that project. and look!! I wore them out!!!!

We had to go fix some fencing and mow some fence lines ( fire prevention) out on the east side, so I took them with me. We ( the dogs and I) took the 4 wheeler, they can run and romp a lot faster than when I walk. But we worked out there for hours and they explored and had a good ol' time.

Came back and got their baths - and this was where they conked out!

This was after sunrise on Easter Morning .

We had another event - I could either get the horses to look at the camera , or the humans... I got a human to wave so that is the photo I chose! Hello from the Humans!!

It was a fun competition. I got 29 of the 30 targets. The target I missed... I am sure - SO SURE - that it moved on purpose and laughed at me ( it is a balloon )

I took a moment to organize my random scraps - doesn't this look pretty? I see lots of blocks in those scraps!

I sorted by color - that is it... but!

Its a start right?

We took Steers into the processors this week too. That always takes a moment or two. And its funny to watch them go into the trailer, they sniff and they are big!!

See you Friday - for Finished ( or not) Friday!!

Tired puppies are good puppies! I'm sure they had a great time investigating while you cleared areas! I sort my scraps that way too. It is amazing how quickly some bags fill!

I only had two horses when we lived in Colorado (but only had 7 or so acres of pasture) but even then we had to juggle time on/off the grass. Your dogs are funny! Our girls had the same sort of day, they were conked out last night, too!

Wow! 29 of 30 is pretty skilled!! Bet it was fun too. Those worn out pups made me smile. They're like little kids, and look so cute sleeping in their hammocks.

I like your "randoms". That view, even if drought-stricken, is so beautiful. I sure like the puppies hammocks! Congrats on your targets - I'm impressed.

Sounds like you've been really busy. Loved the photo of the tired out puppies, they are so cute when they are sleepy (like when we had little ones). The Dinosaur quilt is really fun. It's the best when our kids like what we make them.
