Green .... and Blue Chunkies ( Rainbow Scrap Challenge)

Weekends Fill up Fast around here, so I have had to tell myself its okay to stitch on my RSC projects during the week too. It's a rough job, but someone has to do it right?

I've been slowing plugging away at making the blocks and just plopping them up on the design wall as they are pressed.

After I had all of them made I decided to start playing with color placement. Funny enough - I was ONE QST short - and I make them 2 at a time, so now I have an extra for another project. This is why scraps never end.... just sayin"

I played around and hoped to move from Light in the center to dark at the edges... I sort of succeeded ..I think it will look okay. It is now in a box... I am going to a sew day, and I have it all pinned in row piles. I hope to put it together there....

Note to Self:

Slow Down and Enjoy the ride... its okay to not have the day completely full!!! ( right?)

us... At the Valentines Day Shoot. We had a GREAT day !  It was nice weather, the horses were happy, we shot well, and placed pretty high for both of us . Our friend came to watch and hung out all day with us, super nice.

Your green and blue blocks make a great quilt. You did a great job at balancing the lights and darks. Sounds you had a fun Valentine's Day. Happy stitching this weekend.

Cool photo of the two of you and horses! And I love the slow down sign - I need to remember that, too.

Got to love a blue and green quilt! That is a neat layout using the QST as the alternate.

I love your RSC quilt! I have long wanted to make one that is light in the centre going to dark. I've messed up on the size of my RSC blocks and have enough for a lap quilt with just the blue and green months, just need to figure out the in-between block and your QSTs have given me a possibliity!
