Happy Friday !!!!
I always think that things should slow down about now, but I always forget - Colorado harvest is a little later than where I grew up.... We harvested K's Garden - and Lawsy Mercy - I have diced, and shredded, and canned and ran out of jars, and froze.... and I think we should get thru the next 7 years on this stuff haha!! ( maybe not - but it feels that way)
He added Beets to his gardening this year - those are fun - but we looked like we were zombies.... red was EVERYWHERE!!! and it stains in your hands.... just sayin'
This is my Finish for this week... I finally got Stars and Rails Top #2 quilted... (#1 is still in hiding) Whoot Whoot!!! - I just love this one - The Ohio Stars were in my parts department, and Nann asked if any were from her... AND THEY WERE!!! So this Quilt of Valor has love from all over!!
Bella was really into her job this time, Daisy... well there were cows coming down the alleyway - and she was a little miffed that I wasn't sending her to *help* them come in. She is on the job !!
Ps - I posted this (below) on my Quiltygirl Facebook page... It struck a little fear in my heart
I don't know why it should.... but!!! It did!!Alright!!! share what you have been up to!!!
Leave a DIRECT Link!!!
It really should be quilting/craft related... the ones that were real estate last week... I deleted you ;-)

This is a beautiful QOV! Love the scrappiness. I'd love to see a photo of your canned array. What a beautiful sunrise/sunset! Real estate posts, really? Sheesh.
Fresh grown beets sound yummy! Your Stars and Rails finish is a beauty, too. I like that combination! Happy Friday, Alycia!
And what a beautiful finish! I like that it has love from all over!
It looks great the ohio stars are perfect in here.
Love your models.... I understand the need to help the cows come home, love cows.

Love that this QOV is LOVE from everywhere! What a wonderful finish! I get the 12 weeks post too. . .wasn't it just summer?
I love that each QOV is unique and special <3 Nice job!
I love the rows of Ohio Stars on the top and bottom. Great addition. If there were cows on the move I'm surprised you got those pups to pose at all. LOL I have to finishes to share this week yet, but by next week I'm optimistic that I'll have something.
You have had a very busy canning season! Your harvest will be yummy especially come winter time. Gorgeous quilt.
Stars and Rails finished nicely, Alycia. The girls take their jobs seriously; quilts and cows! Christmas is just around the corner. I'm sure it will a busy time for you.
Nice finish! And nice job putting up the harvest! As always, I love to see your models!
Great finish - the dogs add such fun to the photos (miffed or not).
Ooh, I LOVE beets!! I am so envious of you with fresh ones right out of the ground, but yes they do stain horrendously -- zombies indeed! Especially if you were also munching on them with the beet juice running down your faces as well as all over your hands and arms. I wonder if beets were used as textile dyes? And now I must resist the temptation to dive into a Google tangent and find out... Beautiful QOV and YES, 12 weeks to Christmas is terrifying. You know what's scarier? 37 days until my moving truck rolls up, and seven of those days I will be out of town, and I have barely packed anything yet!!!
Beautiful quilt, I also love the quilted swirls and the Girls are really into their job ;)) I love beets too, but yeah, red fingers for a while...!
The Bars and Stars quilt turned out beautifully. We aren't taking about that December holiday in my house, it's been banned (just saying).
Only 12 weeks until Christmas? That struck fear into my heart as well! Beautiful finish and I hope that your hands/skin are looking back to normal after handling all those beets! :)
