Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale...A tale of a Happy girl ( Sung to the tune of Gilligans Island)
I love this time of year - to be honest - I kind of love all times of the year... but this one... might be my favorite
i'm not 100% sure where I am in my pasture - I'm thinking the south end - but heck fire - what a clear view of the mountains!! ( that's Longs Peak if you want to know)
And this !! this is Mr Reno Man... He is just gorgeous!! He's getting a little darker and kind of Blueish - and he is so well mannered. My Husband has really been working with him - he's not old enough to ride, but we have put the saddle pads and bareback pads on him - so he is getting used to the cinch feeling...
Doesn't phase him!
This is my ICE!! man and Rowdy Mare...
Ice is a fairly new addition and I love him too. He is just so cool...
My Sister in law likes to look at clouds too - So I have been searching for unique clouds... now!!
Do you see it? The Thread spool?
I believe that is the sign that a Quilter lives here. It was just over the house!!!
The sunset was so pretty over Longs and I tried to take the photo from the deck - but it wasn't working the way I wanted it to...
So I headed west and climbed my fence - precariously balancing to shoot it!
I love those colors - and may... just may have to see if I can make a quilt out of those colors!
This is us - Quilt a Fair was at the Boulder county fair grounds - so I got to go to the Quilt show - and then Compete !!
These are screen shots from our videos - but it was so fun!!
This was my last day competing as a 1 - I Won my class - and finally had enough qualified wins to move up to the 2's
Which *pretty excitedly* I competed the next day as a 2 - and got my first qualified win as a 2 - so yay!!!
I'll be in the 2's for a while - and that is good - I learn SO much each time we go!
K!! was a flying flash - he went SO fast on this Brown mare - it was crazy!!! Some of the fastest times he has run as of yet - it was pretty cool to watch.
This is us in Estes. I am not sure I said - but in March K's company shut down. Lots of reasons - but sad... so he has been home for a bit.
It's a litte scary and a lot of fun - he's around with me a lot - so we have got a LOT of ranch work done and he planted a HUGE garden... but the best??
I don't have to wait for him to go ride... we can just go when I can fit it in my schedule. I tease...
because its all around my quilting schedule now, so I tell him that makes me important hahahah!!
Good thing my Machine Quilting business is going strong right now
That's is ( right) at the Weld County Fair...Check out Rowdy ( K's Horse) ears - she is such a competitor!!!
My mare is too, but I hold her back a little. I'm not ready to go that fast ha!!
Hope you enjoyed our little tour around ;-)
It wouldn't be the same with out a puppy picture though!
Ms Bella took a minute from her running to pose for you...

The sunset with Longs Peak is gorgeous. It took a minute but I see the spool!
Love these photos! How lucky you are to see mountains anytime you walk outside. The sunset photos are beautiful. Congrats on moving into another category, looks like fun!
Love your sunset pictures - I can definitely see a quilt from these! Congrats on doing so well on your competitions! I'm sorry to hear Ks company shut down and hope he is able to find something else. Blessings!
Wow! That's for the scenery and for your riding!
Congrats on all the wins and on moving up a grade in competition. Hopefully K has some options moving forward, it is a scary time to be job hunting.
Sorry to hear about the hubby's company! Praying that all lines out soon. It is nice to have them home for your schedule though, isn't it! :)
Way to go! How high do the levels go (now that you have progressed from a 1 to a 2)? I'm sorry to hear that K's company shut down. I hope that is not too stressful for you both. And thanks for the beautiful landscape photographs. Have fun using the color palette for inspiration!
Great competition pics!!! The sunset is gorgeous!
Congrats on all of the riding and competing! I'm sorry to hear that K's company has shut down. My husband was 58 when he and 3 others started a new company. He promised to work until 70 and he's now 71 and mostly retired. They are buying him out gradually and that makes me very nervous in this economic time.
I love your ranch stories and pics! Yes, you could definitely make a quilt in the colors inspired by your beautiful sunset pics.
You guys are amazing with your riding and shooting! One of these days you will report that you've gotten jobs as extras in a western movie! 😜 Beautiful Long's Peak photos, too!
I love all the photos! It's really cool to see you riding in the competitions.
Congrats to move up a level! Those are great photos of you and K shooting! Thanks so much for sharing.
A great view of Long's Peak. I recall that when I lived in Lafayette, Long's Peak could be viewed from my dining room window. Lovely photos.
Ya'll have been BUSY! Looks like you're adding good looking stock to your barn! And congratulations on the wins in the arena! Fun way to spend the day and then you get to come home and take in those pretty skies, an awesome view, and puppy kisses. Sounds like the good life to me!
Long's Peak is gorgeous and all the sites are so beautiful. Love seeing you compete and congrats on your success! Sorry about your husband's job loss, it is never easy, but good there is a backup. Hoping something comes along that makes him happy and maybe even allows for some riding time still!
