Today is MY Day!!! On the *Dust Off a Book* Blog hop!!
I liked this idea especially since I have books, and I have Quilts to make, and I thought what a better way to make myself look at my books, and then I went down the rabbit hole, and looked at WAY to many and now I have a big list of what I want to make...
But it's all good!!! I have fabric!!!
This is the Book I chose! 1 - it has some awesome patterns in it, and 2 . It promises you can make a top in a weekend.
Truthfully - It took me more than one weekend- but that is not the books fault!! She has the steps laid out by time. So you cut. Then Hour 1 is step one, and so on . Each quilt has the idea of how many hours it should take you. That is an Awesome Concept.
However - she does not have my dogs continually interrupting her plans.😅😆😅😆
Here is the Quilt I decided to make!!
I just loved all the bright colors. But then!!! i thought!! ( watch out world that is how earthquakes happen!!)This was a fun challenge - with a deadline - so I had to power thru!! ( read NOT start 16 more projects in the same time frame) and I enjoyed it!
Again the Book is Weekend Quilts - Here is the Amazon Link if you want to see it for yourself.
There is a lot more quilts in the book - and of course - Iwant to make a few more of them!!!March 3

The quilt is beautiful! The bride & groom will love it! I know how it goes to look at a book, you end up with 4 or 5 on the list to be made.
I love this Alycia!! It is bold and bright and beautiful - the three B's of quilting! LOL I'm with you, folks who write patterns that say "make in a weekend" apparently don't have the distractions in life most of us do!
Your blue quilt turned out so pretty! Thanks for sharing the book, I will look it up.
Nicely done, I am sure the recipients will love it!
How fun! So little time, so many quilts! I signed up for few quilter subscription boxes recently and honestly just ended up with more patterns and fabric instead of finished projects! I decided I should do something like you all did, pick a pattern, grab fabric from my stash and make a project just because. Just as if it came in a subscription box! We will see! Haha!
I have books and fabrics, but way to many UFOs to start something new. You picked a wonderful pattern and fabrics. That's one stunning wedding gift!
What a beauty! I love these blocks...I think they're called Quarter Log Cabin blocks. One of my favorites, for sure. You do work well under pressure and did a super job of sleuthing to find the couple's perfect colors. It's going to be their favorite gift ever!
Happy to see you on the hop. I used to read Judy L's blog (and participate in her Monday link up). I like your version of this design!
Beautiful quilt! I love the colors!
I love love love this quilt. The book sounds like fun, too, with its timing to give you an idea of how long something will take. Looks great for the wedding couple - sorry about the wind..it has been windy here too. Too cold to even try for outside pics!
Great quilt, Alycia. I LOVE your border treatment !
This is a great quilt! And I totally know what you mean about starting one project and then letting myself get distracted into starting 16 others!
This looks great in these blue colors!!
I have that book too! I love your version of the quilt. I should pull out my Judy L. books and find a project to do.
What a beautiful top! I bet the newlyweds will love it!
Love that border!!! It makes the quilt.
What a cool quilt and a perfect design for a wedding quilt. I know it's going to be loved and cherished for years to come. Love the fact that it's supposed to be done in a weekend. LOL!! The wind this year has been something else. I'm glad it didn't blow away, while you were taking photos.
That is a good concept to make a quilt in a weekend. Your quilt turned out absolutely beautiful! I love the colors that you chose and I'm sure the couple that receives this will adore it!
Great looking quilt!
What a great way to get a quilt done by a deadline! So pretty, and classic blue and white is going to be so loved. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
