Scrappy Log Cabin Finish !! and Finished ( or not) Friday!

I have shown you this one as a top but now... its quilted!! and I am all finished with it!!

My State QOV 'ers did this little log cabin block drive. This is the first top I have made with them. I quilted it and now it is heading down to the Springs for that group to Bind and Award it!!

Yay!!

Its fun to see what fabrics people have in their stashes!!!

Now on to Top Number 2 - to get it ready and quilted for one of our State groups!!!
Thursday was Awfully windy - and it seemed like everything that could blow... blew...

I gathered all the horses into their corrals and 3 hours later they were in a different pasture.... All the gates were closed, but!! the wind had hit so hard one of the panels moved, and revealed that a lock wasn't in place... stinkers... they had too much fun, and I got a sand facial!!!

I also chased a lot of barrels, bins and other flying objects

Now it is your turn to brag!! How did your week go???

That log cabin quilt turned out beautifully! It has been windy here too. But I at least didn't have to chase horses, just my grocery cart!

That's a really pretty quilt, I love all the scrappiness - from a distance it is all so cohesive. Hope all that wind is bringing in some rain for you!

Wow, what a great group effort! I wouldn't have known it was a number of people who made the many blocks. Perfect panto, too, Alycia!!! Crazy/funny story about the horses having their day in the field, too!

What a beautiful log cabin!! It is always interesting when we do a block drive to see the various fabrics in the blocks. My husband grew up with a horse who could open gate latches. She was awfully smart, and the other horses would escape along with her of course.

the wind was strong this week, glad the horses stayed in the area, that wind would have wound up anyone to run

Barn raising is one of my favorite log cabin layouts. You always choose the best quilting motifs for the QOV.

Beautiful finish! Log Cabin blocks are so versatile. I like the quilting pattern; it provides just the right amount of texture!

Hurrah for the red white and blue log cabin! Sorry about the wind, sounds challenging. Pet the horses for me!
