Potato Chip Blocks

After I finished the Pringles - I still had pieces left over so I started on the Potato Chip Blocks.

I had some time Sunday - and look at how they are growing!

I think they are 9 1/2 inch blocks??? I should have measured .. i will before they go into a top - I usually like to square up my blocks. But now I am just having fun mindlessly stitching them.

I tried to get caught up on my blog reading too - and I saw that Cynthia at Many Hands and Many hearts has started a new block drive - a mini potato chip ish block.

I got all excited - here was another way to use up these pieces, until my brain turned on and I saw she wants  the pieces 2 1/2 inch wide. NO WORRIES... I have a bin full of 2 1/2 inch strips = so will take some time and pull the colors she wants.

I really like being able to help out when I can - When I first started Quilts of Valor here so many people helped us - its nice to be able to give back, even if its just a little.

Off to play in the 2 1/2 strip bin...

Oh!!

Hopefully this works - I was making a little video for my Granddaughter ( whoa  - that feels weird to say!!) so she could hear what the horsie said... My horsies were being goofy - the one in the front is just two, and the one in the back will be one on Wednesday !

Your Potato chip blocks look like a greek key, another fun way to lay out these blocks. Your 1 yr old shares his BD with me!

Fun potato chip blocks... fun horse talk. And, yep, I need to make some blocks for MHMH. Thanks for the reminder.

I always love to contribute to Cythia's block drives, too. It would be fun if some of our blocks ended up in a quilt together!

So sorry for the late comment. That is a fun quilt. I love that you were able to make a video for your granddaughter, and about your horse too! Wishing you a good and speedy recovery. Take care.
