Cut It Up !! and Finished ( or not) Friday

A Group of us had a Cut! it! Up! Challenge.

We put orphan blocks in a bag, we exchanged the bag/... and we were supposed to cut them up and make something new.

Here are my original blocks.

I had all sorts of ideas, but None of them spoke to me ---- until...

I just Chose my most favorite block to use as the center - and then I sliced up the ready of them.... Willie Nillie.... I did try to think about where I would cut them. But do you know - thinking - it is overrated!!!

After I had them all sliced up I started playing and making borders - and Ta Da!!! Above is what I made.

I do need to quilt it, and I think it would be a fun little table topper!!

I also got some quilting in... So much Fun!!!!

It's so colorful - and now!! I need to bind... so its a finish in Progress.

I was listening to a podcast that was talking about the power of positive thinking, so instead of thinking this is a future UFO... I am thinking it is a FUTURE FINISH!!!

See .... I feel so much better already!!

NOW!!! it is your turn!!!
Link up your direct post to your Finished ( or not) Post for this week!! Show off folks!!

What a fun challenge! Was there a guideline about how many blocks went into a bag? I love what you did!

How cute that turned out! What a great lesson for orphan blocks - I am bookmarking this to remind myself. I like "Future Finish" very much!

Oh, I really like the table topper flimsy, that came together really well! And how can you not have fun when you are quilting that much bright color?

I love it! I'm not sure I would have been able to cut any of them up. Thanks for hosting the weekly party!

That is an interesting challenge. I think I'd be paralyzed with indecision for a while. Your project came out great!
