A few years ago my Guild hosted a UFO challenge, and I gleefully said... I can not participate... I do not *have* UFOs.... if only they could see me now.... *sigh*
Remember last week? I said I found a box... well... I did... and in it were 3 blocks and parts of blocks and a BOOK!
Glad the book was there - reminds me of what the project was...
But then I posted on my guild page - Hey does anyone remember when we took that Square in a Square class... and someone said 2004 and I went - oops!!! I have a UFO!! AND!! Apparently I have had it for a long time... Oh boy.....
UFO NO MORE!!!
I finished up those parts into blocks, and then figured since I had 5 blocks... It could become something - and so it is!
Of course it need quilting...But I can do that!!! ha ha!!
Fingers crossed that was the ONLY UFO I have... but no promises... raising kids fries your brain....
( PS - the book was Square in a Square from Jodi Barrows)

That quilt turned out really pretty! That was a good way to use those 5 blocks already made and get that top done. You are doing good with that being your only UFO. I look at my UFO list - yes, I have a list - and wonder how that happened. I have been much better at following thru with projects and getting them done so I haven't added anything to the list. I have been working on my UFO list over the past couple of years, but I still have a list.
UFO challenges can be fun, assuming you admit to your UFOs! My guild did one a few years back and I participated (I had also committed, a month or more earlier, to an online challenge), but regularly was the only member who finished anything! We encouraged ANY progress to count, but the most we had was 3 one month. Of course, our guild isn't too large (it was about 40 people at the time...who knows what we are now with 8 months of no meetings?), and I'm not sure how many actually participated, but it was sad to see so little every month. Good thing I did the online challenge - that was better motivation. But hurray for you finishing that UFO, even if you found it later. I think we all might have one or two we aren't aware of!
What was the book, Alycia? The blocks kind of look like Bonnie Hunter's Scrap Crystals.
Does it really count as a UFO if you didn't know you had it and as soon as you found it you finished it off?!? (asking for a friend, haha....)
Well done. Good luck with quilting.
such a pretty quilt!
Good job! But how can we trust someone with no UFOs? That isn’t possible is it? Just kidding! I’m impressed by people who are discipline enough not to leave things unfinished.
I really like you Not(UFO)!
I have no idea how many UFOs I have, because they are mostly still packed!
Nice quilt top. I'll be happy to loan you a couple dozen UFO's. That would still leave me with a couple dozen more ;)
I love it! And do not go looking for my UFOs, I have them in every craft I do!!! And some I no longer do. LOL
Beautiful! I really like that block design. I’m glad you found them.

Great progress on your UFO. Lovely monochromatic design and plenty of space for some fancy quilting.
Beautiful quilt, it looks like a lovely winter quilt, you know, ice crystals! Happy stitching!
Well done! I love to dig out a project and finish it or repurpose it! What a good feeling!
It looks like a great quilt. So glad you found the box and finished it! I'm impressed that you don't have UFOs. Mine are mostly either in-progress quilts or unquilted tops.
It is beautiful, and UFOs are not crimes =)
Oooh pretty! Love that blue fabric. It's easy to loose track of things when you have kiddos, a ranch, a job and other stuff life decides you need to experience. Great job for moving it along to finished quilt top.
