You might all remember that I am the Coordinator for QOV in Colorado. The group I stitch with (ok, ME!!) really wants to use up our scraps and get more quilts made. So Each month I will introduce a scrappy block. If you want to join in with us and stitch away - I would love it!
If you only want to make a few blocks and join in with us - we welcome that too!!
here is January's Block:
January
2016 QOV Scrappy Block
Pull
out your 2 ½ inch Strip Scraps – and
let’s Dig in!
For
this Block you will need 6 – 2 ½ x 6 ½ inch strips and 3 – 2 ½ x 12 ½ inch
strips
Stitch the 2 ½ x 6 ½ inch strips into 2 sets of 3.
Stitch the 2 ½ x 12 ½ inch strips into 1 set of 3
The two layouts
are below – Choose which one you like. Stitch your 6 ½ inch units together –
then stitch to the 12 ½ inch units! And
you have a 12 ½ inch x 12 ½ inch block~!

Cite block! Looks like a great chance to dig into the 2.5 inch strip bin
That is a great block for using up scrap strips.
Great scrap block. It certainly makes a pretty QOV.
So I have a couple of questions. Are you collecting these blocks to make into QOV quilts? If so I would love to join in. Also do you have certain colors in mind. Do you like to stick to red/white/blue/gold?
H! I've made you a dozen of these blocks and need the address to send them.

Thanks for the scrappy tutorial. Hope you get lots of blocks for your QoV quilts. Thank you for linking up to #scraptastictuesday
Cute block, and perfect for charity and QOV quilts. Thanks for sharing!
Great idea! We should talk and maybe organize an Oh Scrap! feature :)
Another quick and easy for clearing out the scrap bin! Thanks.
