UFO Catch up: Faux Flying Geese

Sunday it was so very cold in our area, so I convinced my family that it was game day - and set them up playing board games and folding laundry - and then I told them that my machine was neglected....

And I finished a UFO!!! YAY me!!

Remember this one?
The Faux Flying Geese?
It was made with all the Cast offs on a Pineapple Blossom quilt
that my oldest son has claimed.

It was only 52 ( or 53) by 53
and I wanted it just a tad bit bigger .
I stitched up some of the leftovers from this quilt
and put them into the borders.

And Ta - Da!!
Here it is!!

It is now downstairs awaiting its turn to get a backing
Do you think I should use plaid?

( Boy I really crack myself up!)

And just in case you missed a little fall
Here you go:
It is now snow covered

Love it! Especially the way you did the two opposite corners of the border!

You really do take some of THE BEST photographs!!! (There's ANOTHER quilt, just waiting to be made.)

Oh! Your newly completed flimsy would REALLY benefit from a PLAID backing and binding. :P

That looks like a fun quilt. You may keep the cold and snow. We're having 50-60 degrees and rain. We don't have to shovel rain.

A lovely flimsy finish! Your colour combo is great and I really like the way you've added some more colour to the border!

I am slobbering over your "faux" flying geese quilt - how fun and cheerful it is, and definitely unique. Yes, plaid would be perfectly wonderful!!!
