Popsicle Sticks

I just had the urge to start a new project.

I do not need a new project, I do not have a reason for a new project... but! I gave in to the desire anyways.

I had been saving a stack of 2 1/2 inch strips cut from other projects and I really want to use them. Not all of them were width of fabric, not all of them were long -  but!!!

I found the perfect project.

From Atkinson Designs! I have made several of her patterns and they make sense to my brain!!

now this stack of strips (above) is cut and ready for piecing (Below)

I have no willpower.... Pringles still need to be done....

  1. Oh that's a cute pattern! I look forward to seeing your version. Atkinson made the very first pattern I fell in love with - Yellow Brick Road.

  2. What a great "new" project! My Gertie would justify it as using up scraps before they need to be put away so it really is a continuation of a previous project! LOL

  3. But you’re using up scraps! That’s reason enough to start a new project!

  4. I have no willpower either so I totally understand. Atkinson designs awesome patterns with excellent instructions. This is going to be a fun variation on Rail Fence with all the different lengths of strips.

  5. That looks like it will be a fast and fun sew. You might not *need* the new project, but it uses up scraps, so you might as well have some fun, right?!?!? :)

  11. Looks as if lots of us can relate to the new project elbowing its way to the front of the line! This pattern really works well with the variety of strips and sizes.

  12. Does it count as a new project if you use up left overs? I'd say it doesn't, it's sewing room clean up.
