I am finishing this one at the VERY LAST minute - but you know what!! it still counts!!!
As I was binding it ( yes - do not pass out - I bound) I was telling my son about the mini shop hop three of my friends and I did - and I was thinking it was maybe a year ago.
It was not. Because!! I started this quilt in October 2022. oops....
I don't think I meant to let it marinate that long?
As of Today - It is done!! and hanging on my Quilt ladder in the front room!
Ta Da!!!!
Sorry for the indoor photos - By the time I had it finished ..it was time to do chores, and!! windy!! and Cloudy - so! it became an indoor moment!
I backed it with flannel - of course - SHARKS!! what fun right? I was sort of thinking this looked like a winter quilt with those batiks - but maybe it is an ocean quilt with the Sharks?
The block is called a Spool Block - and maybe the pattern was at Mary Quilts!!? Its a jelly roll pattern and super easy to do....

Spools is very pretty, love the fabrics! Enjoy the sense of accomplishment to have finished an unfinished quilt, happy stitching!

ReplyDeleteI love those spool blocks. I've seen a few patterns but none with the quarter squares as the middle. I like ocean / summer quilt, especially because of the batiks and shark backing.
