For 2014 - it took me almost the month of January to make a Scrappy Plan.... It hurt my brain - but this year! I have a plan.... sort of.....
I made this quilt as a part of our guild Log Cabin Challenge in 2014
I pulled out my 30's prints and was quite shocked to see I had so many. I don't honestly remember buying that many.... I think.... someone else did and put them in my bin. ( at least that's my story)
I was surprised that I had so many left when I was finished!! So that brings me to 2015
My RSC15 Scrappy Quilt will be..... From my 30's prints!!
I went through all of the Blues this last few days ( yay for vacations and snow days) and pulled all the blues. I cut them up into usable pieces, and I have a plan.
I took all the little bits and strips - and ta da
(above)
I made this.... a few of those pieced are now about 50 inches long...
I made fabric
( bwahh haa haa....I crack myself up!)
I cut all the rest of the blues into 2 1/2 inch strips and then sub-cut them into their sizes.... and
I have a plan.....
I just hope it all comes together like I planned....
and I hope to really use all of the 30's prints!
( so I can buy more ... insert evil laugh)
It will be fun to watch your plan come to life! Blue is my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you have planned!
ReplyDeleteOh will be looking forward to seeing your "plan" come to life--nice blues selection
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julierose
Can't wait to see your plan come to fruition. I have a whole stash of 1930's prints and am looking for cool ways to use up that stash.
ReplyDeleteA plan, I love a plan. I wish I had more plans of my own :) But I think a plan to "make fabric" is a great one, I just may take that one on. Can't wait to see what you do with those strips. Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteNow what can you do with all those 2.5" blue strips? The sky's the limit. Have fun setting your plan into action.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing how your blues comes together.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't an evil laugh but I did have a chuckle of my own. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy plans usually don't come true, but I have a block in mind, I just can't find the pattern. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Frustrating. I did pull some fabrics that are close to the right color. There's a lovely stack, no blocks made.
Hugs
I can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm loving the blues for this month!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...and how long will you keep us in suspense???? I'm on the edge of my seat!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! Love your fabrics and I can't wait to see what evil plan you have for those 30's fabrics!
ReplyDeleteOh my , it looks like a really neat project. I am hooked, It's a cliffhanger, can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteIt is always good to have a plan!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun plan!
ReplyDeleteLove the log cabin quilt. I look forward to seeing what happens with the blue fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI hope you manage to use them all up. Having to buy more fabric is a terrible burden, but it is the price to be paid for using up the old. Looking forward to seeing what all that 1930s fabric turns into.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you create!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be so much fun : )
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to join in the fun this year. I was playing with some block ideas last night. If you need more 30's prints, I am more than happy to send you some!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with oh Scrap!
Your plan sounds fun so far. love the look
