This is an old UFO - but I can not remember how old.
I can remember being sold the rulers - Creative Grids Scrap Crazy 6' set
But from there - the trail gets hazy.... kinda like the Sun coming up in the morning and creeping over the hill......
Anyways - it now is backed with a cream floral, and bound with pink scraps, oh and of course
I quilted it!!!
Bees and Flowers.... because you know... its flowery!!!
My To be Quilted bin is getting lower..... but I think it has some magic curse on it, it seems to fill up as soon as I empty things.... Do your bins do the same thing?
Now it is your turn!! Link up your finishes and enjoy visiting the other wonderful blogs...

Wait, you have a BIN of COMPLETED quilt tops? I'm impressed. You live in a magical land!
ReplyDeleteOh, I've never heard of that ruler. Looks like it is an easy way to make hexies. I like the effect of the big giant flower against a blue sky. The quilting is perfect for it.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, my bins never seem to empty. Maybe that's a good thing! What would I do if they were suddenly all empty?
That's a cute pattern! I bet it was fun to put that together. I finished up something from my To Be Quilted pile this week, too. It's a good feeling!
ReplyDeleteGreat design using the trapezoid. I don't remember ever seeing it used to form the hexi flower. Love it!
ReplyDeleteSo cute--a giant hexie flower!! Keep on trucking through those quilt tops! And I know you will because you have a longarm and know how to use it.
ReplyDeleteI seem to love everything you stitch and this is no exception. Love the moody kind of light you caught there too. I was interested in this piece because I've been reading about economy of scale and how it can affect quilt making. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteyes! no matter how many novelty ISPY quilts I sew, that bin never seems to have any reduction of inventory! Congrats on finishing an older UFO!
ReplyDeleteThe flower looks beautiful in the morning light. Congratulations on finishing up another quilt in the to be quilted bin!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing your UFO. It's a pretty flower, it and looks like those rulers make sewing hexies on the machine a breeze!
ReplyDeletebeautiful image of your quilt
ReplyDeleteI've been pretty good this year about not starting anything new until I finish a few more WIPs, so my WIP quilt rack has not become thicker. My scrap bins, however... oh, my heavens!!! Even though you don't remember making this, it turned out great. Such a cute pattern!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I always have a quilting frame queue!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your wonderful finish. How fun to be whittling down the Quilt bin. Happy quilting
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteIt's a super sweet flower quilt
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! I’m glad it made it out of the bin!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, my scrap bins never seem to lessen. They are always filled to the top regardless of how many scrap quilts I seem to make!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like this quilt. I'm not a big hexie fan but for this quilt, they are perfect1 That's a great choice for the quilting.
ReplyDeleteHurray, another pretty quilt done! Very nice! So that's what has been piling up all my UFOs, a magic curse! I knew it couldn't just be me putting off quilting stuff lol.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very pretty quilt!
