A Patriotic Finish.... and Finished.... ( or not) Friday!!!

My Finish for this week is a little lap quilt... With some of my Patriotic Leftovers.

It is going to my Local Hospice for a Veteran in their care.

I think it turned out kinda cute! and it will hopefully bring a little cheer.
And I like that I am able to finish some of my smaller projects and find a home for them. I don't think I see the end to the finishes any time soon.... but I may be slowing down a bit....

This is me trying to be artsy.... hmmmmm... it was worth the try haha!

This is my Favorite photo of my Barn Quilt

Now it is your turn to show off your Finishes ( or not) this week.

But there are conditions:

Tell me your most favorite way to eat Zuchinni.
I printed all the ones from last week - but I have even more zucchini... and baking... not happening until the temps drop.

  2. Great idea for patriotic print leftovers. Sounds like you have found a variety of good places for your comfort quilts.

I have no great ideas for zucchini! When we were young kids we were always suspicious of the food my aunt made because it seemed like she made everything out of zucchini. She passed away many years ago but when I get together with my brothers and sisters we still joke about Aunt Marie's zucchini.

  7. Congrats on your Veteran's Quilt finish. I'm sure it will be used and loved by someone in hospice.
Sorry but I can't help you with zucchini - DH doesn't like it so we don't use it. Good luck using your abundant supply.

  12. I love your barn quilt! I just shot quite a few around Lusk, Wyoming. I hope I can live in a place one day where I can be on the quilt trail!

Beautiful little quilt for the veteran. I'm sure that will be much appreciated.

  13. Hi, Alycia, love the new lap quilt. My favorite way to eat zucchini is in a veggie quesadilla. I saute zucchini, onions, mushrooms, peppers, and green chiles with salt and chili powder, and use it plus shredded cheddar as the filling between two flour tortillas. Yum!

  14. Hi Alycia, that is a really cute quilt. I'm sure that it will cheer someone up. As for zucchini, I love them roasted the best but I'm not sure how good they would be if the zucchini is very large. Otherwise, it's the old standby zucchini loaf. At least it freezes well if grated - and then you can make a loaf in the winter. Take care.
