One Monthly Goal
I finished my Sapphire Stars top and just ordered backing. I, too, was surprised at the size. I finished off the borders differently (see my blog). I have to figure out how to quilt it yet.
ReplyDeleteYour version of Sapphire Stars turned out beautifully! Congrats on getting your OMG done just a bit early. Happy stitching this weekend. Hope you can find time to finish the quilting.
ReplyDeleteThis is one unusual quilt, and the colors are combined so uniquely!
ReplyDeleteThat is a mighty fine goal to have accomplished! I like the big spikey stars.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, unique quilt! Can't wait to see it all quilted up! Congrats on finishing early!
ReplyDeleteYour Sapphire Stars quilt is really beautiful. Congratulations! I might have to investigate this One Monthly Goal thing you're doing. I've ignored it for awhile thinking "that's all I need -- to set goals I won't reach, so I can feel guilty about them!!"
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteAwesome job! Love the quilt, so pretty and colorful.
Have a great day!
It turned out great. Mine is a top too and waiting to be quilted. Mine turned out long too. Can't wait for your next mystery 😊
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful quilt, congratulation on finishing it! Easy to find the next month goal ;)
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! It's fabulous! I must get mine out and get to work on the borders!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
Very beautiful! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your success. Love the pale blue centres of the stars. It really makes them pop.
ReplyDeleteWay to go!!!! I just barely finished sewing on the label for my Sapphire Stars. It really is quite long, but it was so perfect for me to use for QOV for my father-in-law. I wasn't going to do any QALs last year, but when I saw Kevin announce his, I knew he'd do something I could use for that purpose. Love your fabrics in this.
ReplyDeleteHi Alycia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful job you did on this quilt! I am partial to stars but I love your fabrics and that piano key border just looks great. Congrats on your January OMG finish. ~smile~ Roseanne
Love the Sapphire Stars. BUT, hold on a minute! January isn't over for another 5 days. Getter done, getter done. No cheating!
ReplyDelete(If it makes you feel better, my sewing machine doesn't even know my name anymore.)
Amazing! Glad I got to see!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on another beautiful finish! I like the way you did the top and bottom borders. That goes so well with the piano keys.
ReplyDeleteYay for a beautiful finish, and thank you for linking up to TGIFF! Now to OMG February!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on goal completion! It's stunning!
ReplyDeleteI like the changes that you made to Kevin's design. I really need to get back to piecing my version!! It's all over my sewing table and I'm feeling a little cramped (and a little like I've let Kevin down by not finishing the Mystery.)
ReplyDeleteYour Sapphire Stars is beautiful. I like that you changed some of the colors in the design. You will probably get yours finished before me and I had my top done since our reveal.
ReplyDeleteIt's so blue-tiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing! Congratulations on meeting your goal. I knew you could do it. Can't wait to see the next project.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a beauty! I wonder if I could create something so attractive with the seven boxes of scraps I've been collecting for three years now...
