Blue Blue Blue
is a top!!
and the borders - are actually sorta a light blue
not sure what happened to the photo
(I did use my phone to take it)
I also found a big piece of 30's Blue print for the back
AND!!
I even pinned it
and now!! it is ready to be quilted
and then
I started in on this bin!!
and I got everything cut up to look like this..
And now
I might have started a new project
that I didn't intend to start..
None of you ever do anything like that tho - right???
( ha ha ha)
Love how you did the border with the print squares, and that red one is a cute popper! It looks like you used an AccuQuiltGo to cut up the scraps into perfect strips. What a Godsend and timesaver it can be. It will be fun to see what you do with the strips.
ReplyDeleteTurning a bin of chaos into organized strips is always great progress. There are lots of worse things than new projects. After a finish a new start seems like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat job- on the quilt and getting snagged into a new project!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty quilt. Ready to be quilted ... is practically done in my house.
ReplyDeleteOh yes... I accidentally start new projects all the time *snort*
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, I love the red dot!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! on your newly completed BLUE quilt top. LOVE that little pop of red and that you ACCIDENTALLY started a new project!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! a whole quilt of light blue (and one square of red- love it) in one month. I am shamed. I might be finishing 3 blocks this month. I need to up my game. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Great job getting a quilt top done this month. Me would I ever start a new project with out panning to. NO. Of course we all do it, but that is OK.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo, look at that, a finished top!
ReplyDeleteOh nooo, I never start new projects. ROFL!
Oh, I thought the top was already completed but I see you added a cute little border. Nice addition.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what the new project will be!
I've had several oops-I-started-another-project incidents. Just this month, actually...
ReplyDeleteLove the borders on your bluesy quilt! Inspired!
Nothing like using up those scraps. I think string quilts are the way to go this year..
ReplyDeleteWow, almost a finish....impressive!
ReplyDeleteI like the red pinch with those blues.
ReplyDeleteCongrats it is almost a finished quilt.
oh, my!! I have lots of projects in the works!! Didn't know I was supposed to finish one before starting another. Lucky for me I take inventory in Jan. and found yet another. Thanks for your inspiration and motivation.
ReplyDeleteNo, never, I never do that. :) The blue quilt looks great!
ReplyDeleteWho? ME? Nope - not ever - never ever. HAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a very pretty finished flimsy. Well even if you did start a new project, at least you corralled some scraps along the way.
ReplyDeleteBlue Blue Blue turned out great - I like the "improv" borders!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt. Scraps makes scraps!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your top - it is going to make a wonderful quilt. Great job on taming those scraps!
ReplyDeleteThat blue quilt top is just adorable, and the borders!!! How creative! I need to get going on my scraps, but now that I'm done with last year's Christmas quilts, I haven't been in overdrive production mode. I'm not burned out. I just don't have any deadlines!!!
