The Betty Quilt.... in progress

Looky Looky Looky:

There is is .... on the machine.... oh Ya!!

And then I started quilting the Blocks

Oh yes - and I did Stitch in the Ditch to outline EVERY block
I am feeling a little crazy about that -
but - I loved the definition

I used that Legacy Wool/Cotton batting
I left the packaging downstairs - but its the expensive one
( Someone found the receipt - oops)

And I am doing this swirly flower thing in the open blocks

Oh! And you can see the backing a little bit....
It was suggested that if I show it to you finished.... it should be bound
and quite possibly labeled...

My goal - seriously - is Friday!!!

  2. The extra poof that wool batting is giving really makes the quilting pop! The 'swirly things' in the background blocks is fantastic!

Quilted, bound AND labeled by Friday? No problem, you can do it!! ;)

  3. Wow, this fills my day with sunshine. Such gorgeous quilting for a scrumptious top. Great job! Oh and batting doesn't cost nearly as much as a new saddle or yearly feed or cowboy boots. And the quilt will last much longer.

  7. Oooops, eh? I second the saddle, boots, hats and horse food. Besides, you are going to keep it, aren't you? So, use the good stuff.

I love the swirly things too.

Now, back to work. Friday is coming!

And I really only said I couldn't wait to see it quilted and bound, later adding you should label you beautiful work!! LOL!!! Always happy to be the burr under your saddle to get your quilt top morphed into a finished quilt!!! Love the quilting designs you chose and you picked the right batting for this beauty!

  9. Isn't it GREAT to have the quilt to the quilting stage? I always feel like I am really there when I get to that point...even though I do my quilting on my home machine. :) You did a beautiful job with the quilt.

  14. I'm loving the quilting you are doing on this - especially those flower thingy's. :) SITD is a time sucker for me, but I love the way my quilts look when I take the time for it so I try to stitch in the ditch every quilt now. I hope you're making good progress....Friday is tomorrow! Thanks for linking to MCM Alycia.
