But on the bright side - I sure got a lot of sewing done....
Remember this block drive? Scrappy Trips ? I used them as leader/enders while sewing some other things and now.... here you go:
The bottom rows are a little scrunched because I ran out of design wall space - I guess we should have made it a little taller.... oh well
Did you see the Scrappy Trip Craze going on? I think we QOV"ers started it with our block drive. I think they saw how cool these blocks looked and dug in... Check them out Here and Here
We have a new bird - Little Bit wants to name him George. We are pretty positive that he is a young bald eagle. When he opens his wings there is a ton of white. he ( or she) is not as big as Ricky and Fred - but so amazing to watch.
He dove down to the ground and picked up a frozen dead animal and carried it up to the pole - too cool - seriously!!

Those scrappy trips really look great. Glad I was able to make a few for you. Will you be doing another block drive this year? I hope your bird does turn out to be a bald eagle. Just curious -- what program are you using to put your name on your photos? I'd like to but don't want to use photoshop as I don't want to add a lot of steps and I find it confusing.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is looking great!
ReplyDeleteWoo hooo, red white and blue . . .wonderful. I vote to name the eagle Homer or Ozwald.
ReplyDeleteThanks for causing the Scrappy Trips craze that is hitting the nation! LOL It really is a fun quilt! I think George is an awesome name, and if it turns out to be a girl, just call it Georgette!
ReplyDeleteLove the Scrappy Trip! It all blends together to make a beautiful quilt:)
ReplyDeleteLove the scrappy trips. Too bad about having to go back to school and not as much time to sew. It looks like a lot of fun to watch your eagle. It will be to find out if it is a bald eagle. We have several around and they are sure big.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I'm trying to figure out how I got anything made without leaders and enders!
ReplyDeletelove the scrappy trips and I think you are right about the craze out there about it!! Nice pic of the bird. There are eagles that live near the lake and I got to see it dive and catch a fish. Such a beautiful site.
ReplyDeleteScrappy trips look awesome. Silly girl "sleeping in" until 7? Yikes, that's not sleeping in ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! I just "discovered" you last month, so this is the first I've seen of this great block. Thanks for sharing!
