Brown Monochromatic Challenge

BROWN
When I started this I felt that for sure I would make it lap quilt size, but as of this moment, this is all I have done, and I think it makes a pretty cool table runner size. And it is sort of the colors of my couches and my house ( remember I live with ALL boys)

I am torn - do I leave it this size? Or do I put what I have done back in the Brown Bucket and add it to my UFO list? *alright...don't you dare say you have NEVER heard of that option!*

This size is 25 x 38......  Opinions?

  1. what ever you choose is good, small it could be used, large it could be used, either is good.
Love you browns by the way.

  2. Wow - what a very nice assortment of browns! It's already so pretty and if it was bigger it would just be that much prettier.

I vote table runner! Better finished small and used in your house than in the UFO pile (in my house anyway!)

    I love the browns.

  5. I would say finish it - it is very pretty! Show it off!

  6. Leave it as is. At least then you won't have yet another UFO....I like it and like you said it goes with everything in your house.

  7. Definitely a table runner. Then, when you get tired of it, you can ship it off to me. It goes perfectly with one spotted pup and all of my wood furniture. LOL

  8. There was a book out by Possibilities that showed a pillow cover this size or a couch back cover this size. I recently saw in the Keepsake Quilting catalog a quilt this size to put over the foot of the bed. There you have it: including the table runner, there are 4 different ways to use a quilt that size.

  9. I think this would make a beautiful tabletopper. I'd much rather have a finished table runner than another UFO.

  10. Quilt it and call it done! It will be a great table topper.

It would be nice either way. If it were me, though, I think I'd make it larger (even if it would remain "in progress" a while longer.) Of course, it all depends upon what you already have in the larger size - you might just want it smaller!

  14. I love this piece. I think it looks like a snake skin... so if you add anything to it, just add more in length so you have a looooooonger diamond back snake table runner.

  15. Very nice. Quilt it and call it done, but don't make it another UFO!

  16. I vote for a table runner too!

  17. I agree, table runner and then it's finished and will look great, rather than sitting in a UFO pile.

  18. Well for sure you must leave your options open. You can call it done. For now! And if it stays done...then great. If not...just act like you're adding to your PHD. (projects half done)
    That's my #1 rule! haha
