So the challenge was to see how many Chunky Churndashes I could make with my little 2 1/2 inch scraps. I think! I could have made more.... but! This is what I turned up with!
63 Blocks!!! and Ms Cherie... Might have contributed haha!! These mysteriously appeared!!
But they added such fun to this little pile of blocks!!We are also doing our Knit Hats for Operation Christmas Child this Year. M's goal is 1000 hats - oh boy!! So I pulled out some blue and knitted a few.
Isn't it SO cute!!!!
Oh!!! and I read a book - this is a fiction book, but! It's about a lady who leaves England for France and then finds herself *Stuck* there because of WWII . Its a good read.
It's not super political or war ish - but its was an interesting perspective and a light read of WWII.

Thanks for the book recommendation, I’ve downloaded it for my flight tomorrow. Cool to see you used the squares…..you managed to make A LOT of the chunky monkeys (so much more fun to say than chunky churn dashes, lol).
ReplyDeleteI haven't even touched my blue blocks yet - they sit patiently waiting for me. LOL. Is the loom easy to use? I've seen it advertised but wondered if it was worth it. The book looks interesting - I'll put it on my library list. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYour chunky churn dashes look great!
ReplyDeleteLots of pretty blue blocks! Great job! I've liked previous books by that author, so I may have to look for that one too.
ReplyDeleteLove those chunky churns!
ReplyDeleteThat is one grand blue heap of churn dashes, chunky or not! Nice to see you keep up with the hats!
ReplyDeleteWow, 63 blocks is quite a bit more than I think I had guessed at the beginning of the month. They (and the hats) look great!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you made a bit of a dent in your blue scraps. Very cute blue hats, they will definitely keep someone warm next winter. You certainly could use one around here!
ReplyDeleteLove your chunky churn dashes! They will be great in any color, so keep going! Those hats look like they turn out perfectly using the loom. That's something I've never tried. And thanks for the book recommendation, too!
ReplyDeleteI read that book and enjoyed it (although I usually stay away from WW1 and WWII tales if they're too much).
ReplyDeleteWhat a bunch of blue blocks! That was a lot of scraps that you used! Well done!
ReplyDeletethe loom hats look pretty much like knitting to me
ReplyDeleteI need to get my loom out again and make more hats. I started loom knitting because pain in my hands caused me to slow down crochet. But I solved the pain and now I only crochet. But loom knitting hats is a lot of fun.
