Hold on to your hats quilters.... I have my MAY project done!! Heck ya - I am not as far behind as I think I am, or, well, maybe I am , but today!! lets celebrate a FINISH!!!
My May RSC - Green was the color - I used my trusty Diamond Chain/Buckeye Beauty plan - but Nann suggested I call it Emerald Chain - and I loved it!!.
We have had the strangest weather - from super hot ( 105) to Cool ( 60) and wind, and smoke and sun and oh boy... there are a lot of fires on the western side of the state and the smoke comes right this way - so you never know what you are going to get when it is photo time. And Bella and Daisy... they are over the 100d days... they think they are dumb haha!!
But!! this quilt is finished - it is about 64 x 80 inches, It used a Ton of my Greens - and!! I quilted it with circles like champagne bubbles - so it is a celebration. Also... It has found its home! More on that later.
What have you been up to this week? Anything fun, Anything Finished? Anything closer to finished?

ReplyDeleteI'm over these 100s, too! Emerald Chain is a beauty, Alycia! Glad she has a home - she will be loved. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI love your Emerald chain and it is so worthy of a celebration! It's been a good finishing week for me.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see one of your Buckeye Beauties I want to start one in that color. 🙂 Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteEmerald Chain is a great name for that pretty quilt. The way you combined colors on it is just brilliant. Haha on the puppies not liking 100° days - ours start panting the minute they walk outside!
ReplyDeleteEmerald Chain is a beautiful finish. Can't wait to see who is getting it. I hope the smoke and weather improves in your area. Thanks for hosting the linky...its always full of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThat is really beautiful. Each one of these quilts in just one colorway - so pretty. Not sure which color is my favorite. We've had the same weird weather last weekend was too chilly to take the grandkids to the pool to swim, this weekend is going to be hot and humid.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your finish! Emerald Chain is so pretty. I'm partial to greens, and I like how you've placed the lights and darks.
ReplyDeleteEmerald Chain is the perfect name for the quilt and the bubbles are delightful. Hooray for a full finish and for the quilt having a forever home. I sure hope the fires get better and the weather evens out for us all.
ReplyDeleteEmerald Chain is beautiful! Even my cat is over the heat!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy to contribute in a small way to this great quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour emerald chain is excellent! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Alycia, what a lovely quilt! Your girls look good - what's that about 100d?
ReplyDeleteYour Emerald Chain is great!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWhoop Whoop! Congrats on finishing this gorgeous quilt. Emerald Chain is the perfect for this quilt. And the girls are darlings as always. Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks great! Love all the green emerald in there. Your dogs are so cute too. I used to have a black lab but he passed away from cancer. I miss him.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the finish, Emerald Chain is lovely. Poor hot puppies, I know how they feel. We've been getting the smoke here from the fires in Canada. Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt finish, Alycia!
ReplyDeleteEmerald Chains is gorgeous, Alycia and love the way you quilted it. Beautiful job! I do hope that the fires are extinguished soon and everyone is safe . Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou have become the master at Jewel Box quilts!!! Love those pups!!!
ReplyDeleteEmerald Chain is a beatiful finish! Love the quilting design. Bummer about the weather. . .all those fires means loss of grazing, then soil erosion when the rains come and there is no vegetation to hold the dirt. I agree with your girls about hot temperatures!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a fun green finish. The name really suits it. So glad it's found a good home.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty quilt!
