Pink Lemonade

I am continuing to work on the piles that I have created. The next one I picked up was full of color, and I didn't have any notes as to what I had thought I would make from it... so!

I just had fun... Cut everything into 3 1/2 inch strips - and ta da!!

I made Rail Fence Blocks - 9 1/2 inch ones so the top went together SO fast!!

But!! There's More
I had more blocks left and so...
Top #2!!

And then - there were a few left over blocks and Left over pieces - so I cut them into 3 1/2 x 9 1/2 picees and put together some crazy Nine patches... Mixed them with the Leftover rails and

Ta - da  Number 3!!

It was blowy and Snowy and cold outside, and my kids were home, and we were laughing... thinking that it was too cold to have a picnic - but these fabrics reminded us of Pink Lemonade.... and so..

That is their name.   And just to let you know Pink Lemonade ( the drink) heated up... Not a fan!! But we tried!!

  3. That's a perfect name for those colors. I love a rail fence in it's simplicity. Haven't made any in a couple of years however. But I have a couple of jelly rolls that would make great rail fence quilts. Thanks for the inspiration!

  8. Pink Lemonade x 3! Fantastic! I guess a picnic on the floor would probably get an eye roll from your tall guys! But might be fun!

  10. Such pretty quilts - they're so summery, it makes me warmer just to look at them. And I love that you tried heating up the pink lemonade. This is something I would do and my hubby would just shake his head and walk away mumbling. This makes me happy that I am not, as my hubby would imply, the only crazy person out there!
