In April my QOV sew group met and made a BUNCH of the chandelier blocks!!
We had such fun ! We got all the blocks sewn, and then laid out the blocks - so when I cam home a LOT of the rows were rowed.... they just needed to be topped...
and so!
They are now complete tops - and one is ready to quilt ( as in it has a back and has been pinned to my zippers.... its forward progress!)
I think I have enough blocks for maybe 3 more quilts? I'll keep working on them in between the other projects ... so you know you will see them again!
The pattern is the MSQC Chandelier block - its kind of addicting
Yay for accomplishing a quilt top! This sure is a stunning design!
ReplyDeleteI made a Chandelier QOV recently too, and our local group will be doing this block for our next block drive for QOV. This block makes stunning Quilts of Valor.
ReplyDeleteYour QOV sew group has certainly been busy! Those are great looking tops. After you add your quilting magic to them they'll be presentation-worthy and someone will love them.
ReplyDeleteI can see how those blocks could be addicting. The top looks great and I hope you have fun quilting it and finishing up the others as well.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely quilt tops, such a lovely block.
ReplyDeleteThe block makes a stunning quilt.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts!!
ReplyDeleteLocally a couple weeks ago, 2 QOVs were awarded. But....the best part was
The 2 Recipients were 103 and 104 YEARS OLD!!

I can see the addictive quality in this pattern. Just 3 more quilts??? Such an over achiever :-D
ReplyDeleteI really love the chandelier quilts. I've quilted a couple that someone made for veterans quilts and I really like the effect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great QOV! I like how the blue and red block layout makes strips down the quilt.
