I don't have a lot to show yet.... but
I have fabrics:
and I found yarn that is kinda yellow... its called Maize....
As you know... I have learned how to make stripes while knitting my little hats... what colors do you think would make a good stripe with a color like this?
Go check out everyone elses plans:
Preety yellow bee fabrics Alycia. Locking forward to seeing what you will make with them.
ReplyDeleteCute fabrics! For the gold yarn, you definitely want blue stripes, I think. Or go wild and go for lime green. You'd definitely find them in the snow!
ReplyDeleteHow about a strip of blue yarn for the Ukrainian flag? I just started a blue/yellow quilt. I've always wanted to but now seems as good a time as any!
ReplyDeleteBlue and yellow are always good together, and could be a tribute to Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteAdd blue stripes....
ReplyDeleteThe yellow fabrics will be a fun color for you to play with this month!
I'm feeling the blue and yellow vibe right now. That bee fabric is so festive.
ReplyDeleteBlue or Purple or Red stripes in the yellow hat :-)
ReplyDeleteCute bee fabric. Blue and yellow are great together but I also like yellow and gray or charcoal.
ReplyDeleteSo in love with your bee fabrics. Gorgeous! I've always loved yellow and grey. Maize is a great colour as it is my kitchen's colour. Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteI think chocolate stripes with the caramel yarn... Too many projects! My head would be spinning
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI like your fabrics and yarn. Off the top of my head...I'd use a light blue fabric with this...you could make cats and use the yarn for the whiskers. Or dogs would work...they could be standing in a field of flowers with the bee fabric as a border. Have a great day
You are all ready to start, let's see what you come up with for next RSC link up.
ReplyDeletelooks like lots of yellow to explore!
ReplyDeleteBeing a Michigan State grad, "maize" is a dirty word around here (University of Michigan - our arch nemesis) has school colors of maize and blue. So I'm just gonna weigh in here and say "anything but blue"! (Though they do look good together...) And those bee fabrics are absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteoh those fabrics are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with those YELLOW scraps and that GOLD yarn, Alycia!! The yarn will look good paired with any number of colors. I'm thinking I would start with a deep dark red or a blue heading toward indigo.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you’re all set!
ReplyDeleteFor yarn, the short list: no pink. Everything else would look great.
ReplyDeleteBees and bee hives -- that's you!
