I am reporting for February!!!
Teal/Aqua is just one of my most favorite colors.... we just accented our Kitchen with it!!! so this was a fun one to play with!
Here is my Teal Steppers Top!! All finished, and I actually even picked out a backing for it.
I might have had some fun experimenting - that top hat right corner - it was a variegated skein...
I made a hat for one of my sons and it just turned out variegated - but I made these a little smaller - and it rowed.... or striped or ... anyways - I thought it was cool. But then I thought what if I mixed the colors... I use two strands on these hats - so the far right is the same Variegated with navy blue, and the one to the left of it is the same Variegated with Cream.... totally different... I thought it was fun.
and I am very grateful for spell check - apparently Variegated is not a word in my typing vocabulary!!!

Lots of fun teals in the quilts and the hats. Squirrels are allowed if they use up left overs, at least I think they should be.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! I am in LOVE with these two quilt projects, Alycia!!! The fabrics, colors, and patterns play well together. Knitting in the Color of the Month, too? Go, you!!
ReplyDeleteI love both of your tops - so pretty with all those teal prints! And your hat knitting is amazing. Go, Alycia!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy, busy! I love how the teal color theme was even incorporated into your hats.
ReplyDeleteOk! Look what you’ve done! Now I want to make a basket weave quilt and a stepper quilt! Shoo squirrel 🐿!! It’s a good thing I don’t knit, cause you know! There would be a hat knitting squirrel at my door! 😀
ReplyDeleteYou are buzzing right along with your teal projects.
ReplyDeleteWow, so much Quilty goodness going on here! I love Jan’s basket weave pattern too. And the hats are adorable. You go, girl!
ReplyDeleteYour love of teal really shines here! So many hats, and I like how you experimented with the variegated yarn. Your rail fence is cute, but I am in awe of your teal basketweave blocks. So, so pretty!!! I'm looking forward to seeing how you quilt it when the top is finished. Thanks for the shout-out.
ReplyDeleteA very productive month for both stitching and knitting. The quilts tops are terrific!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Steppers quilt and love the hats!
ReplyDeleteLove all the teal goodness! Don't you love it when the scraps tell you what needs to happen?! Great hats - are they knitted?
ReplyDeleteI'd say you had a very successful month.
ReplyDeleteThe Steppers pattern is delightful, looks simple but so effective, I may have to borrow this idea. Lots of great wooly hats too, you have certainly been busy!
ReplyDeleteTeal Steppers is a happy top, Alycia.
ReplyDeleteLove all the teals you use on the basketwave blocks. It will be a beautiful quilt.
Your aqua hats are very pretty also.
That basketweave top is fabulous. I definitely need to add that project to my leader-ender pattern file.
ReplyDeleteLove those basket weave blocks! Using up every last strip is a great goal.
ReplyDeleteAs a knitter myself, I just loved your knitted hats! They look great as well as nice & warm! Love both your quilts too. T was just at retreat and a gal made a basketweave top. I love that look and, yours in TEAL, is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the first quilt--the light teal is throughout my house, too. The second quilt has been in my queue for ages--very pretty! The hats--my oh my---do you sleep?!
ReplyDeleteInteresting fun knit hats. I may just have to pull out my knitting needles and play some. Love the teal quilt tops also.
ReplyDeleteI love aquas and teals, and the colors you put with them in Steppers just makes them sing! I am LOL at not leaving out a lonely strip on the strip blocks.
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned I love your new header? It is a new header, right? Or am I imagining things.
Have a great Sunday!
Beautiful aqua/teal quilt top and blocks! The knitted hats are fun too! I love the new blog design and template you choose, I forgot to tell you before ;)
ReplyDeleteLots of gorgeous teal in your Feb work! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteYou are tearing it up with all these hats!
ReplyDeleteLove those basket weave blocks!
ReplyDeleteTeal is one of my favourite colors too.
Happy Tuesday!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteLove your Teal quilt...so pretty. The hats look
really nice, I like the way stripe appears in them.
Have a great day!
Great Teal/Aqua projects. Jan had some really good ideas for simple quilts, didn't she? Mixing the cream/navy with the variegated worked well!
