I like it when I get to finish things!
I have had a pile sitting there waiting for me, and for some reason.... I have been able to get to it this week!!! I'm so happy!!! and now.... I can add back to the pile right??
This is my Quarter Log Cabin Block quilt - I finished the top in August ( 2021... go figure) and now it is completely done... Yay!!
I did some fun funky QUilting on it
Oh it measures 38 x 51 inches and I will have it listed in my Quiltygirl Etsy Store.
Hopefully someone needs a lap quilt.. or a baby quilt?

Something Bluesy is beautiful. I love the blocks on point, and you've given me an idea now!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Awesome scrappy finish, Alycia! (This, from The Joyful Quilter @ work.) I'm SEW impressed that you got it done during the same year as the blocks were made! Mine is still a stack of blocks (in need of a few friends to fill out the quilt that I have planned.)
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! Congratulations on the finish. I feel like you've had a really productive year for finishing, do you know how many quilts you've fully finished?
ReplyDeleteAre those clamps the same as used for batteries? as in fastening the wires to the battery for an electric fence. I've been looking at them and thinking they looked very familiar---and something my dad used.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is fun too---and I like your substitution of a gate for those boys who held up quilts for you.
Great scrappy blocks and perfect for a baby or lap quilt. Love the blocks On point.
ReplyDeleteLovely scrappy blocks and I really love the quilting that you did.
ReplyDeleteFinishes are always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteThis is so striking, Alycia! Reading your blog is dangerous to my WIP list because everything YOU make makes ME wanna make one, too! :-)
ReplyDeleteI thought of gemstones on the blue counter! Beautiful work on this one, too.
