Greek Key Quilt...... and its Finished Friday!!

 Happy Friday!!

I just made this one under the wire... hence.... the photo of this quilt top... in the KITCHEN!!!

its the only place in the house with a lot of light so late in the evening!!!

Ta-Da!!!

So - borders.... I had such a hard time thinking what I wanted to do,

and I finally just decided to use this beautiful Eagle fabric... and call it good.

Full Disclosure, I do have another one cut out, so maybe I can start thinking of great ideas for borders for it, and really follow through - but I do like how this one turned out!

Now it is time for you to shine!

  1. Good morning, Alycia! YAY to a Friday finish. Each time I see this quilt it makes me want to make one myself. I just LOVE some of the fabrics you used that make the blocks look so striking to me. Like the third block from the left on the top row - how cool does that look?!!! You deserve to enjoy a fabulously nice weekend, and I hope you do. ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Congrats on the finish!

I solve the what-to-add-for-borders dilemma by eliminating them all together most of the time. No thinking involved! Besides I think I would rather make 100s more blocks than add a border.

  6. The eagle print border is a nice frame to all the detail piecing in the center!

  10. It looks great, Alycia! More rounds of narrower strips than other keys--gives it a lot of visual interest!

P.S. The quilt on the left in your blog header -- might those be some of the Ohio Stars I sent you a couple of years ago?
