Right On Target

A while ago.... How long ago- one can never really tell....

I might have dragged myself to a Quilt show, the kind with all the booths selling fabric, and I might have really felt the need to buy fabric...

Now I might be having some fun with it!!

This quilt is called Right On Target - and It is all Kaffe Fasset prints.

( I KNOW!! TWO kaffe quilts in the same decade.... and nope - no plaid in them!!!)

I think... It will be bright and bold,

This is where I am this morning.
And more blocks are about done

This is a close up of the fabrics
it is much brighter than my normal

but it is good to step outside of the box right?

Enjoy Your Presidents Day ( to those who have it off)

  1. always nice to find something new to make - I have a couple jelly rolls and yardage from a kit I bought that was for a wild quilt and I have yet to make it - kind of like Kaffe fabric but not -- I really don't like the pattern but wanted the fabric and will use it one day

  2. Nothing like a good Kaffe on the wall! Looks like a very fun quilt to build.

  3. Some of the Kaffe prints are SO big it's a challenge to figure out how to use them. This design is ideal!

  5. I love those circles. Our quilt show is coming up in less than two weeks, I might have to look at the booth that sells Kaffe (if they are here this year).

  6. Cool! Once bought a layer cake of Kaffe fabrics in similar colors to yours, a "Daily Deal" from Missouri Star. I wanted something bright and cheery for a friend who needed a quilt. It was a fun easy quilt to make, as the fabric did all the work! And definitely out of the box for me!

  7. Right on Target looks like it is just plain fun to sew :-) I definitely love my drab and odd colors but sometimes SPRING just pops in with fun fabrics and they add cheer. Enjoy it. It's lovely :-)

  10. Love the looks of this! Always have been a fan of Kaffe Fabric. By the way, aren't you the one who is a big lover of plaid quilts? If so, I have a question for you.

  11. The fun comes when you are quilting it!! I had a customer who made a quilt totally with Kaffe fabrics...I could only do a bit at a time because my vision went wonky! Pretty quilt...definitely remind me of spring!!
