I had a pretty great weekend - lots of stitching, thread, and only a teeny teeny bit of ripping.... so you all know that is good!!
Look at where I am on the scrappy one now:
Now I think I want to make a tiny white border and a larger blue border and Bam!! It will be ready to quilt.
Someone said this is a lemoyne star and someone else said a Hunter Star
and I said - I don't know ! But it uses 4 : 5 inch red squares
4: 5 inch Blue Squares
and 8 5 inch White Squares
and it comes out about 17 1/2 inches per block - and Bam!! it goes together fast!

Small Quilts: Design Wall Monday
There was lots of beauty being formed in your sewing room over the weekend. You'll be done by tomorrow;)
ReplyDeleteGreat progress. It might be scrappy but the cohesive color scheme pulls it all together beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt. It looks so patriotic. I am in the lemoyne star camp. Enjoy finishing this beauty.
ReplyDeleteProductive weekend! Your scrappy patriotic stars look great!
ReplyDeleteLove this one. It definitely is not a Hunters Star. I'm going with the LeMoyne Star.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteBlocks that size make a nice quilt in relatively short time. Bam! Great job!
ReplyDeleteLooks absolutely beautiful
ReplyDeleteLooks like you found a quick and beautiful way to use up some leftovers. Looking great!
ReplyDeleteI never would have guessed that these blocks would go together quickly. Lucky you!!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a beautiful quilt. I too think it is Lemoyne star. Your contrast in this block is wonderful, and I love the look.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking with Design Wall Monday, I like to see what you are working on.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty. Bam!

I LOVE this one! I like most of the quilts with stars, but somehow this one is more special. Thanks for sharing :)
