I'm so Blue ue ue Blue ue ue ooooo

Remember the Rainbow Scrap Challenge?  I LOVE it!!! I love playing in my colors, and being incentivized to dig through my bags of scraps and see if I can make something.....  or at least clean up a bit!!

A few years ago when Blue was the Color I dug through my 30's repro fabrics and made some blocks.... and so....

I dug through those blocks and this is up on the Design wall

If all goes my way - it will be a top by the end of the month. I think that I will keep it up until I actually start stitching on it - and I even have and idea for borders!! Whoop Whoop

The Sew Me Blog had the pattern, and I fell in love with it
Here it is:  Sew Me: Bee Blessed Pattern

And here is one that I did with my Purple Blocks

And on to a finish. My Friend Janet passed away a few years ago, and her husband asked if My Friend and I could help him finish some of her quilts. So this is a table runner she had made - I quilted it -AND!!! Bound it!! can't wait to take it back to him....

My kids are still on break and I love it ! Plus I have more help, so surprisingly even thought I have to cook a thousand gatrillions pounds of food - they do chores ;-)

  8. Hi Alycia,
I had to giggle at your title! I hope you are not feeling blue but just enjoying the blue ue ue in your quilt. HAHA! Thanks for sharing the pattern for the block and quilts - looks like a fun one to make should I be in a blue ue ue mood. How nice of you and your friend to finish up some quilts of Janet's. I'll bet her husband will really treasure that table runner, and use it all the time. I know I sure would. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  14. What a pretty new project. Good for you, new year, new project. I imagine if there were hamburger patties waiting in the fridge, your handsome crew would be capable of cooking them AND doing chores. Even if there's snow on the ground, the grill still works, right!

  15. A very fun project to kick off this year's RSC effort. It's nice having all the help isn't it. We get one more week with our college girl. It's nice to have someone who can run to the grocery store for you!

  17. Way to go! I thought you had used up and finished off all your 30s fabrics. I love those blocks and thanks for the link.

Enjoy the extra help no matter the cost! They disappear to help spouses all too soon!

And I'll bet Mr. Janet will love the table runner.
