Old Buildings, Barns and Homesteads

You may have figured out by now that not only is Quilting my Passion.... but my Camera is my Best Friend. We go everywhere together, and lately - we have been having a LOT of fun!

Some of the places I have been recently are pretty rustic and out of the way, so I thought I would share a few photos of the places I have been.

This is an old Homestead that is close to the river
I will assume that when the river flooded it was pretty underwater, based on the construction going on around it - but I just love how it is settled there -in the valley

This old barn just jumped out at me as we were trekking along
and All I could think of was how great it would look in Black and White

I wish that sign wasn't there - but apparently - the law that anyone hurt is not the responsibility of the owner had to be front and center ..

(below)
This is Bill

I thought Bill was abandoned
But it is not!!

And this is the Bill Post Office
Right next to the store.

I LOVED them!
And of course - they weren't open when we were there
so We will have to return

Did you ever watch the Movie Cars?
I saw this truck and Immediately started calling him 'Mater....

Around the corner from Mater was *The Store*   Isn't that so cool - I haven't seen Coca Cola signs like that for a while!!  It made my day!!

I really wanted to go in and 'Get Stuff'
but alas - with my camera - sometimes my bag is just too heavy....

Hope you enjoyed seeing these places
I sure had fun finding them!!

  15. Very fun photos. It's hard to find places like that anymore, unless you get off the beaten track.
